Title: Paint details on fuel line and exhaust hardware for 68 Shelby
Post by: Corey Bowcutt on January 17, 2020, 08:45:40 AM
I am doing some clean up on my undercarriage and have dropped the fuel line and exhaust system.  There are a few pieces that I am going to sand blast and refinish while I have them off the car.  I would like to know what the correct finish is for these pieces.

* The L brackets that support the exhaust pipe just as they exit the rear of the car.  They are bolted to the frame by the rear leaf spring shackle.
* The fuel line clamps
* The fuel line shield
* The screws that mount the fuel line clamps and shield
* The clips that support the electrical wire that runs to the fuel gauge sender unit.

Thank you for any help,

Corey

The L brackets were natural steel

Fuel line clamps sre usually painted silver

The shield is semigloss black, but natural on a few cars, phoshate bolts

The clips are olive drab green dipped in rubber
