I was surprised at the rather low bid on the black GT 500 formerly owned by Hubert Platt. OK, not the original engine but an all aluminum 427. Guess some folks don't know about celebrity ownership.
Well, thats my opinion on it.
#00245 offered at Leake auction. I never even saw it advertised.
Only 4 photos! No engine or interior pictures. That lack of marketing effort didn't help bring in the buyers.
The hubert platt car was interesting for me and I was bidding, but due to the lack of infos on the car or what happend with it in all the years my haert/head said no at 110.000 otherwise a nice car but if you calculate the 12% auction fee its also 125.440$ for a car you don know a lot about it. Then I prefer to spend a bit more.
