It's amazing Marty doesn't end up in the bottom of some lake here in NC. Someday he is going to screw over the wrong guy...
He usually sets up at the Charlotte AutoFair which, incidentally, is postponed until June 12-14.
Wait he bought a car from a well documented con man and didnt look at it first? I am tempted to say he got what he deserved.

Which would be a great place for all the folks he has screwed over to congregate for a "little discussion "about his business practices.I can't make it,but I am sure you "dissatisfied customers"have cellphone cams ,so if someone could post a video of the "interaction" it might give folks a ray of sunshine in these troubled times. ;)

Maybe if you knew all the situation you would not say this .
Im the one that got scammed , sometimes life gets in the way and just cant go running to look at every single car or truck . I have bought over half a dozen cars from all over sight unseen and this is the first pr!ck to screw me .
He sent lots of pictures of the car but after getting it and getting into it I see that he was very good at taking certain pics , also he laced the car in a ligt grey primer to hide the work .
Im actually considering going to the swap meet to see if h is there , it wont be a good ending for him , Ill be happy to get a shirt made showing all the rot and BS he did with his name on it and stand in front of his area
Sorry to hear you got screwed. If you do a search on this site for "Pookie", you will see the extent of his BS. Spread the word.

. A poster board speaks volumes more than a t shirt.Think big!!! But seriously, sorry you got ripped off.Apparently you have a lot of company with people this fool has scammed on this forum.Class action lawsuit?
Sorry but nowadays no way would I buy a car site unseen. Whenever I do sell something you get all the bad stuff first. Been selling since the early 70s. Guess your word now is just crap :-[
Some people value money over integrity.sad.
Im sorry you got screwed over as well.
if you see him this is what he looks like
He is much fatter now
does he play a banjo ;)
Don't know. But he probably has a few NOS ones, signed by Roy Clark, for sale.
More likely Earl Scruggs signature model and in a Shelby (NC) box. 8)
(Again) I present Mr. Burl Ives!!!
Pookie the Yard Gnome.
Young Col. Harlan (sp?)Sanders perhaps???
I'm surprised that he has still not disappeared, in one way or another? I wonder if he has changed his public appearance?
If anyone could do a "write up" about pookie , I am sure I could have him removed from some other sites !
I think most of us want to do more than "write him up".
It's a euphemism... ;D
Be at NEGMC show and swap meet in Maggie Valley NC, he always shows up there!!

It would have been worth the 300.00 flight in retrospect. This is such a common tread anymore. Not a single thread of integrity. No one bothers to mention the fact that what he has been selling came primarily from a widow who he was "liquidating" her deceased husband's collection with the promise of giving her the proceeds.
Anyone that would screw over someone in this nature doesn't deserve to be sucking oxygen. I won't discuss what would happen if I ran into him in person.
Maybe nobody knew, I didn't ::)
Look what I did today for Marty HAHAHA
I have to edit it a bit .|
Was late and I had a few Crown Royal in me last night .
https://raleigh.craigslist.org/pts/d/burnsville-70-mach-1/7104084492.html
Nice........ 8)(well maybe not for "the pookster")
1badmach1,
Go back and Edit. His name is Marty, not Arty ;)
Also Bad, Make sure you put it in Asheville NC, because he does a lot of business in Asheville
Hell, edit it to say all NC ;D
Remember on eBay he also goes by "Roadcars"
His EBay username is theroadcars.
Good for you! ;D
I stand corrected.
Yes it is "theroadcars"
In addition make sure you edit on CL to include Asheville NC, Hickory NC, Greenville, South Carolina and Knoxville Tennessee.
We need to do our duty to make sure we get the word out on Marty McIntosh of Burnsville NC

That is one of a number of different ones he has used over the years. Pookie is another user name he goes by.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 17 years I've been a member on eBay, I remember eBay members posting ads, not to sell something but to expose the scammers on eBay.
The way eBay is today, they probably won't erase it😆
Others chime in.
We all know his current name. Perhaps some thought of it as a liability to disclose it. He operates under two on Ebay.
"Burnsville" location is fitting under the circumstances.
You could call him Mr. Burns(Ville)...I see certain similarities to The Simpsons character ::)
^^^^^ Funny stuff!
The Pookie Monster just keeps popping up. Thank you to the gendarmes that keep track of his postings and sound the alarm. 8)

Bad,
You got Asheville spelled wrong in the updated listing. Also, go to Craigslist Asheville, Hickory NC, Greenville SC and Knoxville TN and copy and paste your listing to include all the townships I listed.
That will cover A LOT of territory where he buys, sells and trades.
I live 10 minutes from Asheville and I went on CL and copied/paste his CL ad# and nothing came up.
I can't wait to see the hate mail you get when the Pookster sees that posting. Be sure to post it here! It should be hilarious. He said Bob and I needed mental help for calling him out on Ebay. I send him messages all the time. He's never smart enough to block me. His responses are so juvenile I laugh at them.
You ought to see him in person. He, seriously is a clown, and thinks he is the authority on Mustangs and Shelbys. He was in Maggie Valley NC with his parts and right away guys, the likes of Jacky Jones and a few other Boss/Shelby guys, knew right away Marty was a damn phony.
He's an idiot, but seriously he has a lot of people fooled and eating out of his hand.
Those people are giving him his 100% positive rating on eBay. But I'd say the Craigslist posting could possibly slow it down some.
That's the reason, more than ever, we got to get the word out to the uninformed because they will be the ones in 5-10 years selling the Shelbys/Bosses/Mach's with the phony parts and it will spread like wild fire to other uninformed and just keep getting worse.
Yea, we all know he's a phony, but guys, there are a lot of Mustangs/Shelbys/Bosses unaccounted for that with be littering the market with fake and phony parts that Marty started.
"Patina" to Marty means using fiberglass and filler and then weathering it to camouflage the repairs. I would fly in just to participate in shame Marty fest at one of the shows. We'll have to wait until we can all sit down and eat afterward somewhere.
Pookie called me two years ago about a '67 Service replacement hood I had for sale. He forgot having spoken to me before, and that I knew all about him. He did drop all the big names in the Shelby world, Bob, Jim, Ed, Pete, etc, and that they all buy from him. I found that especially funny. Fast forward a year, and a friend of mine called asking if I would help him look at a "project early '67 Shelby" that a guy from NJ was selling, but that it had a title made out to Marty Mcintosh of Burnsville, NC. It was supposed to be car no. 43:
https://imageshack.com/a/yQUo/1
It seems that Marty picked up the VIN plate online for 43, which is actually legit (that's a whole story in itself for these early '67s). He already had a wreck of a '67 fastback, so he put them together and instant Shelby. Marty then applied for and somehow received an NC title for the car, and then sold it to a guy named Tony Guerrerio out of NJ. I spoke with this Tony fellow who feigned ignorance, but obviously knew what he was doing.
I knew he didn't have the real no. 43 because it was recently restored and looks like this (beautiful car):

I informed both the NC and NJ state police, but nothing came of it. Guys like this always seem to get away with murder.
I maybe presumptuous and I am not sure which "pete" he was speaking of ... I have never spoken to him or purchased anything from him, to the best of my knowledge. Not suprising I know
8)
He bought from me some 25 years ago some original polyglas that I had purchased from B. Perkins back in the late 80's.
But I have never bought from him. The stuff that I seen he had for sale at Maggie Valley NC, I didn't have enough knowledge to know if the parts were legit or not. But as I learned over the past few years
That I need to come here first and consult with you knowledgeable's to see if in fact what he has for sale is legit. I know also a few here has bought from him but know what they're buying is legit.
But for the most part his stuff that he "claims" to be legit for a certain application, in fact IS NOT.
So I just steer clear of him.

Sorry Pete, but you are 'da Man in this community, and the one he was bragging he knew. On the plus side, now you can just go by your first name like Cher or Madonna. ;D
???
I think Pete is "Speechless" ;)
Man, I'm bummed I didn't make the name dropping list... and I've actually visited Pookieville.

See Charles, you probably had the knowledge to know what you were looking for or looking at.
Others,,, Not so Lucky and get screwed.
So this idiot actually posted a photo of a fraudulent title WITH his address on it??? I would like to nominate him for a prominent position in "The Genius Club"......
But the thing 557, if we don't make others aware it WILL come back in the (early?) future to haunt us in other ways. (See my post #43, 4th paragraph)

The title is real, sort of. NC was stupid enough to issue it. Unbelievable. Problem is it is also titled in NJ at the same time.
