I know these site, but there are not really pics of the 67 GT500 shaft
Just a thought, all those barn finds, unrestored original cars, I have not seen photos of the underside of these cars, they are probably out there, I'm sure it's been documented, won't help as far as dimensions etc, but might lead to something ?

Call Jack@ Deadnutson---I have been dealing with him for years---he will have or make what you need, however he is not cheap, although he does not have nor can he produce tapered--Carry in Springfield has few, it might have 67---good luck
I have dealt with Jack. I even gave him a suggestion on use for his tar-paper wire cover. Not even the courtesy of a response but I see it offered as suggested about two months post the email. He does primarily Boss 9 and late 428 CJ/SCJ stuff.
Sorry don't have the measurements. Pretty much a straight tube with a heat line down the length where the tube was formed (welded) together. Cast yokes at both ends with visible full attachment weld all the way around and toning of the tube metal from the weld application. Balance weights look very different from most ones used and attached by shops if they are not factory or were rebalanced at some point in the past. Most originals (or at least allot of them) developed surface rust over the years so they are not much to look at
