It's a Ford replacement piece, but there are details that do not match what came on 68's when new. Specifically, the high beam horse in the middle should have a raised chrome outline. The inner sections of the large opening for Speedo/Tach should be chrome close to the lens.

He either has a bunch of those bezels or a high reserve. They never seem to sell. You may want to make him an offer.
