You know the "prophet" had spoken to us months ago and called these modern day artifacts "obsolete" that the "writing was on the wall" as the 2020 GT500 was a better track and 1/4 mile hauler. It doesn't matter if you like to row through the gears, rev it to heaven, it just wont cut the mustard. The GT500 is King.
Alas, poor GT350 ! I knew him well, a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy. Oh GT350....
An excerpt from the article :
Both the Shelby GT350 and the GT350R will no longer be produced. Although it's sad, it also makes sense from a business perspective.
Ford has already made it clear that their business plan does not include cars. Rather, the Blue Oval will focus on trucks and SUVs. Let's just be glad we still have the GT500 and the standard Mustang still with us.

Not unexpected. Glad I got mine while the getting was good.

Heard revamped car will merely get a name change to Mach1.
What I heard.
Not what I'm calling "for sure."
Would make marketing sense to rechristen the GT350 as Mach 1. That would give Ford SOME Mustang tie-in to the Mach E, on which they're betting big $$$ to succeed.
Having had the opportunity to have driven the 350 and the 350R both are truly very impressive for naturally aspirated performers.
But I knew Ford wouldn't keep the 350s and the 500 with the bean counters cutting down on model selections.
If you have one enjoy them to the fullest.
In order for a GT500 to be true to it's DNA it needs to be a big block. I wonder when the first 7.3 swap will occur?? https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2019/08/01/ford-73-liter-V8-best-in-class-gas-power-torque-heavy-duty-pickup.html
Once it's out I'll be scanning the insurance auctions my Excursion needs a new drivetrain
It could be that some product planner at Ford is going to use the GT350 and GT500 Shelby badges on an upcoming SUV. Like they already did for the Mustang brand.
The next edition is bound to be the GT350-E model. :(
Agreed Mr Don

900 horsies for the ponies! 8)
Good morning Senor Don a truly unbelievable vehicle.
Cant argue with that 900 HP and 1,000 in torque makes this a top of the line predator with all the latest and greatest creature comfort.

Yes, but something doesn't sound right about it!
I guess you would have to make you own vroom-vroom growls out the window. 8)
Your wish has been granted by the vroom vroom genie
