Wanted to Buy / Excellent Original Boss 302/351 Valve Covers Wanted
« on: February 02, 2022, 08:37:27 PM »
My dad is searching for very nice original valve covers for his concourse Boss 351. It is my understanding that Boss 302/351 covers are identical, but maybe someone who knows for certain could confirm or correct that.

Thanks!
Ryan

Looking for an original because the repro I just got is junk. I only need one but would consider a pair if that's my only option. Patina is great, but no rips/tears in the rubber, please. Thanks!

That's what I needed- thanks!! Anyone know if the later style is being reproduced? I'm not finding anything from the usual sources.

Hi Guys,

I hope this question is okay to pose here as I'm guessing one of you knows the answer.... I am buying a fairly rare 1967 K-Code Mustang that currently has Cobra valve covers. In researching what would have been correct, I am reading conflicting information as to whether or not they were the same chrome versions as the '66. The attached screenshot of a Motor Trend article appears to be the most credible source that they were somehow different. I appreciate any help you can offer!

That's correct. #0078 was originally a rare Bronze Metallic car, just like #0085!

A few more shots, and Chuck Cantwell signed my car!

Could someone please enlighten me on what's correct for the shocks and also the "dreaded Mustang caution fan sticker?" Sounds like I have some simple fixes to make...

Despite best intentions we never did get a picture of the three early cars together, but #0078, #0083, and #0085 were in attendance.

The professional photographer got some terrific shots of #0083 on the track, and see the first link for a good video of the drag race. I drove the hell out of that car!
