this may also have been a ford display car   very early  build  vin as i remember .

IF you go old school, the Ford performance hyd 'C' cam is an excellent choice.


I have used that cam in quite a few fe  builds and always was happy with it .

Salt damage won't matter to the next owner. If he pays 85 it'll get a quick wash/wax new interior patched together engine/trans and be off to Barrett Jackson in a heartbeat. 2-3 owners down the line will be wondering why their car is disappearing before their eyes.
There is not enough room at 85 to spend another 60-70 to do it right.

 68  gt 350 2096   is where the shelby thing  started for me  ...  Family friend had  restoration shop  and owned that car about  1983  . I remember his son installing the  accessory trim panels  under the doors .
