It looks like it requires an optional module to be installed.

News from HQ / Re: We are LIVE on the new server

Quote from: Jim Herrud on April 08, 2024, 10:00:17 PMIs there a way on this forum to similarly view all latest posts?

This would be useful because at times, I quickly scan the new posts and then hit the "Mark All Read" button. Then afterwards, I realize there was a post that actually looked interesting and I would like to find that post again. I usually don't recall which sub-forum it was in. I wind up searching in various sub-forums to find it or searching the title as best I can remember it. "Viewing all latest posts" gives me the same post listing as the original "Unread" listing before I marked it read.

On the main forum page, scroll down to the bottom.  You'll see a section named Recent Posts, with the 15 most recent posts. If the one you are looking for is older than those 15, click on the words "Recent Posts", and you'll go to a new page with 100 recent posts, split across 10 pages.

Thanks for the heads up on Auto Club! I will definitely check them out. Am assuming they enlist local towing services which is better than AAA.
"Auto Club" and "AAA" normally refer to the same company.

He is self-proclaiming his post count, and "enhancing" it as well.  "Posts" is his actual count, and "Personal Text" is whatever he wants it to say.

Looks more like El Mirage dry lake to me, than Bonneville.  That is dirt kicking up from the tires, not salt.

I love the Blue Streaks.

Lot U78, the pair of L88's, the Mecum website now lists that lot as selling, for $2.585M including buyer's premium.

Also, CSX3006, lot F231.1, is now listed as selling, for $4.18M, including buyer's premium.

Same link without the web tracking gobblygook at the end:

https://sfstandard.com/2023/12/18/california-front-license-plate-wraps-dmv/

I've been buying the license plate mounting kits that use the tow hook receptacle, instead of drilling holes.  I like this better.  Most CA car dealers automatically install a front license plate holder.  They have asked me to sign a special form to state that I will be responsible for mounting the plate myself, before they will agree to not attach their holder.

Mine has front pusher fans, plus a rear puller fan, and I have separate toggle switches. The toggle switch for the front pusher fans is way over on the left, near the ignition/starter key. The toggle for the rear puller fan is just to the right of the speedo. I added a thermostat switch for the rear puller fan, got tired of having to watch the water temp gauge. The toggle for that now allows me to force the fan on.

The toggle for the electric fuel pumps is just to the left of the speedo.

I believe the previous owner of mine swapped the headlight toggle for a Lucas style two position pull knob, so I only have three toggles total on the dash.

I think it is also common to swap the fuel pressure gauge for a fuel level gauge. My fuel tank was replaced by the PO, it is around 24 gallons, and the replacement has one of the capacitive fuel level senders.

The Von Dutch artwork on John's helmet is very cool, mentioned in the link above.

I think the last unidentified signature is by John Whitmore.

I believe the USRRC team car CSX2494 was at Pasadena, I am not sure if it was at the Ontario track.  Anyone have pictures of it from either location that year?
