Here's a pic of one of my wheels with my new BF Goodrich tires.  I'm very satisfied with the look.

Here is a metal sign that I purchased about 15 years ago that was purportedly from an airport back in the day.  Also shown is a later light-up sign that I added to my collection maybe around 10-12 years ago.

Appeals / Indoor Car Cover Recommendation for Cat Owners
« on: February 01, 2024, 01:54:08 PM »
It's time to give our indoor 1-1/2 year old sibling cats full run of the house.  This includes the garage (ouch!).  Looking for recommendations for an indoor car cover that would provide maximum protection from potential cat scratches.  I now use a couple of inexpensive covers with donated blankets, throws, comforters, etc. underneath.  They worked previously with our other cats but what a hassle!  Looking to be able to just use a cover only on each car to simplify things.  Any other cat + Shelby owners out there?  Thanks, in advance, for any recommendations.

I just viewed the auction and it shows 6 days to go with a $3500 current bid.  Am I missing something?

Vintage tube radios, all makes & models.  I like the unusual ones that aren't seen too often.

Neat photo! Check out the amount of frequency numbers on that AM radio dial.

Steering wheel center looks unique too.

What are the gauges monitoring?

That radio dial is from the Bendix model which was found in the early Mustangs & the '64 Falcon.

Appeals / Re: Cobra Oil Pan Stripped Drain Plug Hole

"I don't remember the size of the original plug but I would think that there is an oversize plug that will work without taking the pan off."

This is basically what the piggyback unit is.  They come in various sizes.  You won't be removing the bolt that makes the new threads each time you do an oil change.  That's a good thing as the drain plug hole is already compromised having been threaded three times (original, 2nd time by a previous owner, and now).  To drain the oil one just remove the drain plug that is within the bolt that is threaded into the pan.

The temporary fix is in place.  The permanent fix that I am considering is a piggyback unit shown in the photo.  The outer bolt is used to rethread the pan while the inner bolt is the new drain plug.  The use of a helicoil is also a possibility.  Obviously welding the opening closed then drilling and tapping is ideal but I'm trying to avoid pan removal.
