« on: November 09, 2022, 10:29:56 AM »
I'm posting this under the '66 section, since the car in the pictures is a Carryover.

If you are not familiar with dry ice blasting, this is a little quick explanation. It's a cool (no pun intended) process.

The Lounge / Merry Christmas!
« on: December 24, 2019, 05:03:02 PM »
I've been posting this on my Blog for several years.

I love this, so I've been posting it for the past several years.  I found it somewhere on the Internet and tweaked it a bit. I don't know the author (sorry), but it is pretty cool!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Virginia Classic Mustang!

'Twas the night before Christmas and in the garage,

There wasn't a trace of a Chevy or a Dodge.

The presents were wrapped and the lights were all lit,

So I figured I'd mess with the ‘Stang for a bit.

I popped out the hood pins and I lifted the hood,

When a deep voice behind me said "looks pretty good."

Well, as you can imagine, I turned mighty quick,

And there, by the workbench, stood good ol’ Saint Nick!

We stood there a bit, not too sure what to say,

Then he said "don't suppose that you'd trade for my sleigh?

I said "no way, Santa" and started to grin,

"But if you've got the time we could go for a spin!"

His round little mouth, all tied up like a bow,

Turned into a smile and he said "hey! Let's go!!"

So as not to disturb all the neighbors' retreat,

We pushed the Mustang quietly into the street,

Then, taking our places to drift down the hill,

I turned on the key and I let the clutch spill.

The sound that erupted took him by surprise,

But he liked it a lot, by the look in his eyes.

With Goodyears a' crying and side pipes aglow,

We headed on out where the hot rodders go.

And Santa's grin widened, approaching his ears,

With every up shift, as I went through the gears.

Then he yelled "can't recall when I've felt so alive!",

So I backed off the gas and said "you wanna drive?"

Ol’ Santa was stunned when I gave him the keys,

When he walked past the headlights he shook at the knees!

Then the HiPo exploded with side exhaust sound!

Santa let out the clutch and the tires shook the ground!

Power shift into second, again into third!

I sat there just watching, at loss for a word,

Then I heard him exclaim as we blasted from sight,

"Merry Christmas to all...........what a great night!!!"

Howard strongly believes that it is 6S483 (with blue side stripes). Also note the original California license plate number.

Parts For Sale / American Racing Torq Thrust D Wheels
« on: November 21, 2018, 11:30:33 AM »
I have a limited stock of American Racing Torq Thrust D Wheels in stock and ready to ship. These are new wheels. 15 x 7 with 3.75 inch BS.

$99.95 each plus shipping, which we will be glad to quote for you.

They are available with the usual gray painted spokes, and we also have the ones with black painted spokes. Both have machined finish rims with the gray painted ones having a brighter finish than the black painted ones. The black ones have a satin finish machined rim. They really look cool.

I've posted pictures with the cap and without the cap just to show you the look. Running them without the cap is popular on the our Shelbys and my personal preference.

Parts For Sale / Choke Cable Grommets and Radio Delete Grommets
« on: April 18, 2018, 09:20:32 AM »
I have had brand new tooling made to create exact copies of the original 65-66 Choke Cable Grommets and "Radio Delete" Grommets.

They have the correct "M" marking cast into the part. The correct rubber was used in production. This was a big project for parts that really don't sell in huge quantities. I wanted to do them though, because they are literally impossible to find.

I always announce parts like this first to the subscribers of my Shelby/Hi-Po Email Newsletter. This newsletter usually has information about new items for 65-66 models. Limited quantity/special parts sometimes are only posted in the newsletter. If you wish to subscribe to the newsletter, click here.

Click on the links and/or the pictures to learn more.

Made in the U.S.A. $17.95 each.

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Vintage Photos of 6S033
« on: March 02, 2018, 10:00:03 AM »
I received an unexpected treat in the mail this week when this print showed up. It was taken of 6S033 when one of the Shelby employees leased the car through Shelby's employee lease program. It was taken in the Spring of 1966 at Yosemite Falls in California.

It's a great compliment to the other vintage photos that I previously received from the first retail owner when he took delivery of the car in September of 1967.
