1965 GT350/R-Model / 65 GT350 at Bonneville
« on: January 06, 2023, 05:52:28 PM »
Just curious...when I was assembling my 64 K code Fairlane I was in search of a correct date coded block.  I had contacted an elderly gentleman around the Lansing Michigan area that had a ton of hipo parts (around 1985).  He stated he had several GT40 289 motors as well as a 65 GT 350 that had held a record at the Bonneville Salt Flats.  He stated it still had all the lettering and is as it was when raced.  He wanted 3,000 for the GT40's and $15,000 for the Mustang.  After all these years I'm just curious if anyone knows if of a GT350 that ran at the flats.  Wish I could turn back the clock.  Terry

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Identifying 67 valve covers
« on: June 06, 2022, 08:23:35 PM »
I have a pair of covers off a 67 I purchased a long time ago.  Not sure if they are original or reproduction.  They are not "Buddy bar".  I've included a couple photos.  The oil baffles have also been removed.

64 hipo balancer for sale.  The date code was discussed on this forum if you search it, most likely H4 but unknown for sure.  No hammer marks, slight pitting on some areas. Small area appears ground away on backside, see photo.  $525 shipped in lower 48.

I have had this balancer since the 60's.  It was on an early hipo Fairlane.  It's a C5OE balancer.  Help with the date code stamp?  It looks like I4, but Ford did not use "I" for their dating.  I don't find any other stamping on the balancer.  Thanks

It's probably been 5-6 years since I posted a photo of this 67 block.  It's kind of a mystery, but always hoped someone might know it's origin.  Thought I'd try it again.  Came out of a street rod about 15 years ago.  Had S7MS intake, cobra valve covers, 6M22 heads, LeMans camshaft, all hipo internals, hipo pump (water), distributor, everything pretty much date matched.  The block's cast date was ground off and the block was stamped on the boss next to the water pump (see photo's).  I had papers with it dating back to machine work in the early 90's but no help.  7B14 machine date, 7B15 assembly date.  Maybe someone recognize the stamping?

Single 1967 289 Hipo head dated 6M22.  This is a TE head I have had for quite a few years.  Selling because I have another set of complete 6M22 heads, don't need a third.  Would highly suggest it be gone through as it has sat.  Please contact me for any further information or photos.  ltatro@frontier.com Asking $750 + Shipping
