Swap Meet / Have NOS Autolite 4100 C6ZF-C carb to trade for OEM C6ZF-C
« on: January 02, 2024, 11:36:00 AM »
Have an extra C6ZF-C Autolite 4100 carb that Id like to trade for a nice clean OEM C6ZF-C unit.  Mine is just a bit too nice to use on a running car and would like one to use.  Perhaps someone who is collecting parts for an HP t-bred would be interested in trading.  Will consider an OEM unit that is rebuilt or not, but must be complete and aluminum finish not blasted.  Tag on my nos unit came as a square service tag and I traded it for an oem tag.  I'd be happy to trade oem tags or keep our own tags.

I purchased a '66 HP Conv last year and it has a small letter Cobra aluminum 4v intake and Holley List 1850-2 carb.  Trying to find out what correct application this carb has and any approximate market value range?  I would like to remove it, put on an OEM 4100 Autolite and sell this to someone who could use it, but know little about it.  You can see from one photo, someone has applied epoxy to one of the rear ports on driver side.  There are some early Hollys I've seen discussed that have date codes on the third line of data.  I only see two lines on mine and unsure if mine is dated or not?  After researching archived posts, Im still unsure if the 1850-2 was originally used on a particular model or year, considered a replacement or just an available replacement alternative.  Seems that once an item sells in the market sections, that the prices also disappear, which isn't helping my research.  Thanks for any help you can offer.

SAAC Forum Discussion Area / Buddy Bar Cobra vale cover ID?
« on: December 04, 2023, 03:50:35 PM »
Like my previous post implied, I've removed a Cobra aluminum oil pan and pair of valve covers from a 66 hi-po I purchased about a year ago.  Im sure there are a lot of reproductions and variations of Cobra valve covers that were made and used over the years.  Cobra letters are painted blue and still have nice paint.  Buddy Bar Casting Co cast inside both pieces.  I just cleaned these with dish soap, and did not blast them or repaint the letters.  They are essentially farm fresh.  Hoping someone could let me know what I have and perhaps a market value on these???  I have yet to remove the aluminum Cobra intake and Holley carb.

SAAC Forum Discussion Area / Early GT350 Cobra SMS1 oil pan?
« on: December 04, 2023, 03:41:16 PM »
I purchased a 66 hi-po Conv about a year ago that has an aluminum Cobra intake, valve covers, oil pan and a Holley carb.  I'm just getting around to removing the valve covers and oil pan and will not be using these.  I am unsure what I have or current values of these.  There are a few that look similar in the sale history, but the prices dissapppear once they sell for some reason.  From some of the posts, it appears I may have an early SMS1 version Cobra oil pan with no SMS1 stamping and has the raised areas for bolts.  Flap doors are all there and look good.  Minor scrape on the bottom edge of the pan around the drain area.  I just cleaned them with dish soap, they are not blasted, repainted or restored.  I appreciate any help in IDing this and market value.
