1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / 69 door panel suggestions
« on: August 19, 2021, 05:11:07 PM »
I have a 69 Dearborn built GT350 with Black interior that doesnít have the original door panels so I canít have them recovered. The reproductions that were on the car had speaker holes cut out and Iím restoring it back original with no door speakers and an AM radio. any suggestions?
Mustang Market says they have the most original with the best material that stays soft like originals then thereís TMI who seems to be the most expensive then thereís
Dashes Direct who says they have good reproductions until the improved version comes out???
I have no clue!

My 69  GT350 has a wooden shift lever handle that does not have a Cobra emblem attached to the left side of the handle as I have seen in many others. Did some come with the emblem and some didnít? Also, in looking online it appears thereís an intention carved out of the wood so the emblem fits into it, am I seeing this right? There is no evidence of my shifter ever having an emblem.

Any thoughts?

« on: July 24, 2021, 10:59:26 PM »
Iíve attached pictures of the rubber quarter window pivot seal where I have it placed in the slot in the metal structure. Is that where the rubber seal goes or does it go in the slot of the Fiberglas side panel?
Thanks for the help

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / 69 GT350 passenger side A/C duct
« on: July 09, 2021, 05:23:17 PM »
I am attaching the passenger side A/C duct on my 69 350 and as  in the picture Iíve attached, there is a hole in the metal tab Iím pointing to but Iím not seeing a matching hole around the glove box area that can be used to attach it toÖany thoughts?

Iím looking for the most OEM looking Shock reproductions for a 1-9-69 GT350 Automatic, I thought Iíd seen something in the past on this site or the Concourse Mustang site but havenít been able to find anything now that that I need to get some.
Thank for the suggestions .

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / 69-70 front fender black out areas
« on: May 22, 2021, 03:56:59 PM »
Iíve seen the pictures posted on Concourse Mustang about this subject but Iím not sure Iíve got a good grasp of the whole thing. Iím attaching a picture of what mine looks like since being painted, I understand that the lower part of the inside of the leading edge of the fender should be blacked out as in Jeff Speegleís picture  (2nd attachments) but how far back towards the radiator support is blacked out? Also, my painter painted the hood pin attachment base in a  gloss black...should the blackout on the fender and bracket be a satin, semi gloss or flat black? Also the same sheen for the black behind the turn indicator? And the stone deflector where the fog lamps are mounted, what sheen of black is that? All of these things were painted gloss black by my painter.
Thank you

Iíve seen on this Forum and the Concourse Mustang Forum to use RTV clear (also ribbon caulk sometimes) to seal these pieces when installing but my question is what is the proper application procedure? Apply the caulk and put the part on and wipe off the excess? or caulk and wait for the sealant to set up a little before install then wipe excess?
or install part and caulk the gap and wipe excess? If the RTV is applied and then part is you tighten until most of the caulk is squeezed out and then wipe off the excess?

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / 69 Shelby roll bar bolts
« on: May 08, 2021, 11:29:47 AM »
Can someone please help me with a picture of the bolts holding the upper part of the roll bar next to the shoulder harness reels? Also is there a washer under or over the bracket or is there both?

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / 69-70 inner Fender splash shields
« on: April 14, 2021, 09:11:12 PM »
Does anyone have a passenger side rear inner fender splash shield they can part with or know of a good reproduction?
My front ones and drivers side rear are perfect but the other is toast.

Any thoughts for which of the screws I have in the attached picture is correct or is it a completely different one

Thanks in advance

Is this weatherstrip used on 69 GT350ís on the underside of the doors? See attached picture. Iím not finding holes in the bottom of my original doors for attaching them.  It has 7 attaching screws
Thank you

The reproduction weatherstrip starting at the quarter window has 3 threaded studs with nuts and star lock washers attached, the separate attaching nut and bolt package from AMK for the quarter window has three rubber washers that donít show up on the assembly manual, it only showís a washer before the nut goes on which doesnít make sense. A rubber washer would be squeezed out if put on there, I could see one between the weatherstrip stud and body to maybe seal it off but the assembly manual doesnít show that. Any thoughts?
