My KR still has the snorkel, but I'm still learning. What exactly is this for? Sorry that I ask.

I get it. But the center console has been removed to start cleaning. This will of course be neatly reinstalled. Thank you.

Congratulations!  Enjoy your KR.
With that alternator gauge exposed out of the console mounting, please be VERY cautious of the positive wire; it carries a lot of juice.  No room for error!

Hi Tom,

Thanx.
You can really see that the car has been used. But overall it has been well taken care of. We measured the paint over the entire car and it is consistent and the thickness the car should have. So I have no reason to believe that the paint is not original.

Nice to hear from you.

Good Day Michael,
That is a beautiful 68 Shelby GT 500KR. I am curious if this car is original paint since it came from the original owner? The pictures show the paint to look really beautiful but the whole car appears to have been well cared for. Thanks for your time.

Just some pictures what the status of this KR is right now. For this archive. Ha. Center console is allready outside the car but present. Power steering is missing. Hubcaps are there as well, I will not restore the car, but keep it as it is. Except for the PS which I'm planning to rebuilt.

Hope to hear from Bret soon, but he sold it to my dealer in the Netherlands I guess. I'm not worried about that but hope to get more info.

Wow, didn't even see that. Haha

I don't know the stories. I would be surprised because I checked the paint thicknesses too. No strange deviations to be found now..
The car looks sleek and doesn't appear to have been involved in an accident or anything.
I do have contact with the daughter of the first owner, but it will not be easy to get more information from the Netherlands.

Hi,

I'm the new owner of this 1968 Shelby GT500KR with VIN 8T02R203104-02322. It is a unique all-original survivor car from the first owner! A 4-speed and an original Raven Black car. Al lot of documentation is present. I have a Marti report '68 registry.

I was wondering if someone knows the car and has more information to share.

I am considering buying this GT500. So I'm looking for more information. I have the register at home and it tells a lot about different owners in Sweden. Not when and how it was restored. I do see added striping and badging from a KR. This is a normal GT500.
Who can help me? So I can check the car at the dealer myself.

I'll check. My thoughts as well.

Clip: sounds not smooth- loses power and wants to stop.
Image: when it runs this comes out of the exhaust. Seems bad timing or to rich.

The color of the spark is very yellow. The engine runs bad. Could be several things.
I thought that the ignition (like petronix) should match the coil.
And why not petronix III?

Want to now which coil and ignitor-system will be the best for my 1968 Shelby GT350.
The original points are gone. I do have an unknown electronic ignitor in the distributar but the original coil. The spark is very weak.
