Years ago i went to get my first passport, since they required either a certified copy or my original raised seal birth registration ( i was born in DC and they don't have birth certificates only birth registration certificates)  I had my original registration and the hospital issued birth certificate ( not good for any form of ID but looks cool)
The Birth Registration is printed on the cheapest paper available and in in BIG BOLD LETTERS along the top it says "This certificate is good effective March 1st, 1907"  The local post office would not accept it and I had to go into DC to the main Passport Office  to submit it. The older gentleman at the information kiosk said he had not seen an original certificate in almost 15 years. The certificate is the same one that both my mother, father in law and mother is law and my wife all had. They apparently ran out of them in the early 50's but it still makes for a crazy conversation piece.
P.S. I am not 115 years old    yet

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Nice Day for a ride

Todays was a nice day so I switched tires for the Goodyear BlueStreaks to go to a judges show next week and went for a short ride to test them out. They look nice but they truly are not a good tire selection for driving
But they do look nice

I wish they would offer them painted flat gray. Haven't seen them in a while, Check with Brant Halterman at Virginia Classic Mustang.

I ordered a set from Brant about a year ago, they are still waiting ☹️

Does anyone know if they are going to remake anymore of the Magnum 500 wheels for the Herz cars?

Here’s my Muscle Bike
Purchased April 1975, in September 77 it’s had 29,000 miles on it, now has 31,000
Not the typical bike you’re talking about but when it was new it was one of the fastest production motorcycles ever made

Art’s car was an amazing set up. I like his quote” Shelby modified Mustangs, I modified a Shelby”
The engineering and workmanship was amazing. Talking to was like hearing every idea you every had come to life.
I told him he needed to do a complete story for the Shelby American
Great car and an even greater guy

Wow, this is sad news. Was hoping to talk to him next weekend at the Philadelphia Concours

If someone can get me a current address, I'll be happy to stop by and knock on the door.

Steve: What time frame would he have owned 6S1855?

Do you have a pix of the car I can (hopefully) show to him, so he doesn't think I'm some sort of stalker.   ;)

Van

He would have owned it in 1999/2000

Here’s a picture of 1855 and 1431 back in 1978/79
1855 did not have the side stripes at that time

14
It’s possible
He once owned 6S1855 and I am attempting a history review of the car

15
Yes.  That would be nice
He lived there in 2000
