Since i don't have a garage but instead have trailer and shed, this is what's in the driveway, trailer and shed.
In driveway
1993 VW Euro Van MV 5 speed manual owned since new. Sleeps two has original curtains for privacy and has remote locks added, trailer hitch and 6-disc CD player. also has a set of lattice style BBS wheels off an Audi A8 186,000 miles.
1997 Ford ranger flairside, 2.3 engine, slower than a turtle pulling a rock up a hill, i paid $2,000 for it 10 years ago only has 114,000 miles on it
1999 F350 Dually extended cab v10 gas with 2-wheel drive, it's used for only pulling the trailer a few times a year. purchased 7 years ago with 12,000 miles on it for $6,000. No one had ever sat in the jump seat and the passenger side still had the seat belts in plastic. Now has 43,000 miles on it.
2005 VW Passat Diesel SEL, owned since new and now has 205,000 miles on it. It consistently gets 46-47 MPG.
2003 26-foot Millenium Car Trailer, purchased 11 years ago from a divorce sale for $3,000, came with winch and other assorted goodies. He just didn't want the ex-wife to get it.
2022 VW Tiquan, one of retirement perks is a new lease car once a year, this is lease car number 52., wife picks the color and i just order it.
in shed
My professional grade unicycle that i at one time could ride, but a torn Achilles tendon stopped that, and I've been too afraid to try it again.
A folding bicycle designed by a retired NASA engineer that can be carried in its storage bag like a backpack, I tried it once to carry, wouldn't recement it, but its handy when at car shows to unfold and just ride around.
A cheap mountain/off road/cruiser bike. I used to ride around the neighborhood, cheap, heavy and indestructible.
My 1975 Kawasaki Z1B serial number 475, owned since new, i put 29,500 miles on it in the first 18 months i owned it, sits awaiting restoration in the next year. Now has 32,000 miles on it, all original expect the exhaust and the horn.
In the trailer
Last but not least a 1966 Shelby 6S1431, purchased in Dec 1971 for $1,000 with approx. 40,000 miles on it. is now approaching 244,000 miles. Been in 38 states, and Canada. been on several cross-country trips and just a blast to drive, I only wish i was younger since I get tired after about 6 hours of driving it. Old bones aren't as supple as they used to be.
All of them have memories, all of them have great stories and all of them are fun in their own way, so take what you got and enjoy it, there may be a day you can't, and you say, "I wish I had" rather than "I'm glad a I did."
