The schedule on the website doesn't mention the vintage race.

On the SAAC homepage ( http://www.saac.com ), the "SAAC Convention" side navigation points to a dead link at ( http://www.saac45.com ).  That website should redirect at a minimum.

Not sure who to tell except here.

Naah.  Sac is too far away.  Oakland first-  San Jose second.

Depending on the time, it can be good or horrible.  I come up from the bottom of the south bay and always go up 880. I look At the maps and before committing to the Richmond bridge I look at 37 @ 121 traffic.   If the trip puts me at 121 after 2p, I go through Vallejo. If it's before about 1:30 I stay w Richmond- 101n - 37E.

Traffic from Oakland airport is Going to depend upon what time and what day. Traffic should not be too bad between about 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. but very much either side of that can be a real bear.

Roy is right.

From Oakland,  you will want to stay on the east bay side and come in by way of Hwy 880/80 through Vallejo (over the bridge) and west bound on Hwy 37.  Outside of 10a-2p you don't want to take the Richmond San Rafael bridge to 101 towards the track eastbound on 37.  Even early afternoon traffic is a mess leading up 37 to the turn onto 121 and can back up easily a mile+ before the intersection.  Westbound should be better.  Especially on Friday as all of 37 eastbound is bad from 101 east well past the turn.

To the hotel discussion....

Sheraton Wine Country is a good fallback hotel that is super convenient and the road to/from is low traffic as other roads are sometimes problematic.  Usually this is the home hotel for the Audi club when they do their event @ Sonoma.  I think there are a few more around the Sheraton but hotel choices are fairly good around since the track has all sorts of National events like NASCAR, NHRA, etc.

If there are going to be events at the Embassy Suites- be aware some of the hotels are in opposite directions to each other and the Cobra Experience is away from everything else so plan accordingly.

If it was the gentleman I saw with the photo vest on, now I know why his camera didn't point at anything older that about 1973...

If that was the only photographer on site that would be disappointing to anyone with any vehicle past the Nixon era.

I'm reading more of the event docs and while I'm a NorCal member, I added SAAC national membership to my SAAC 43 event reg.

It looks like I need to add my family member as an associate member to get them on track with me.  How do I add that before the event so I don't have to pay the mandatory daily adult guest fee, and the wristband so they can ride along.

Thanks

I was going to print out my registration before the event and it looks like i need to do something to accommodate my brother in law.  He will be with me for the entire event. I already have meal ordered this is just so he can get in and out of the track easily and be a passenger doing track time.   What do I have to do so he signs up once and not have to register every day? .  Past events he would just sign in at the gate.  I guess this is different this year.  Thanks

There is a 'buy a single ticket' (for some reason buying a ticket is called 'registration') on a daily basis for $25/day.

However, if you use the Offline PDF version of registration it says something quite different:
"*** Note: There is one registration price for the
entire weekend. No daily tickets are being offered"

So if I have a neighbor and a co-worker who I was going to mention this event to- they have to buy tickets to come see me at the track?
