Looks like someone might be paying at least $60K for it based on the message I received when I inquired.

"Making a list of seriously interested buyers to review with the owner of the car. If you are interested I'd need your a Phone number. Price range right now is $40-60k for offers we have received. If you'd be interested in that price range pending inspection of the car in person I can have the owner contact you. Thanks"

1967 Early Production Shelby Air Cleaner - $475

This is not mine. I just saw it posted on Craigslist.

I don't know if it is correct or if it is an original part.  Just an FYI for someone looking for one.  The ad is 2 months old.

Up For Auction / Re: Possible Scam??

Yes, I got the same reply...

"Â Hello! I'm sorry for this late reply but I was busy. I worked up to 15 hours. The car is still for sale and the price is $32,000. The car is being sold as described, clear title, no mechanical or electrical issues, never damaged in an accident, flood, or fire. The car is ready for the road. I am working overseas at the US embassy in Baghdad as a contractor for the ambassador's planes and helicopters and I won't return until August 2019. If you want to find out more details about how we can close up this deal, do not hesitate to contact me and I will respond at my earliest convenience. Thanks! "

Since he is a contractor for the ambassador's planes and helicopters it might be unlikely that he will be able to get you a deal on a tank.  Maybe an Apache helicopter or a F-18, or even a slightly used F-117.

I know if the price sounds too good to be true it probably is.

Very interesting video below tells a lot more how they made the car.

According to the video, after the clay model was made they made a plaster mold to put fiberglass on to make the fiberglass body form. Then it was shipped to California where aluminum panels were made to match the fiberglass body form.

I didn't get a chance to see the ad.  Out of curiosity what were they asking for the car?
