I know it was sold by the builder in hollywood some years ago because I also talked to him then, price then was 25.500$ for me and I thought it was to much because of the vin and how it is build. The best part of the movie was Jessica Simpson and the both guys going crazy with the charger.

I also was able to buy the Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift 67 Fastback over 5 years ago from the builder who did them for the FF movies price then was 25.000 $ it was the one which is now for sale for unbelievable 130.000$ I didnt bought it then because in Tokyo Drift Paul Walker etc. were not playing.

I have something more interesting at the moment, the Kübelwagen from the Movie "Monuments Man" with George Clooney, Brad Pitt, etc. its the original Hero Car from the Movie and sitting here in germany.

Yes everybody above me is pretty right with his statements. But as I always say in the middle is the truth. So we take a little bit of everything and at the end nothing will change really, believe me also in 50 years we will drive Shelby´s , Mustangs, Ford´s and so on between all the electric crap and there will be always people who enjoy that and spend money for it. I´m only 36 years and my collection looks like a 60-80 years old men collection not money wise but I have nothing older than 1968.

Yes its definetly better to build a own thing and ordering the parts. So you have more control and good engine shop for hone, aligne etc. is normally not so hard to find.

A friend of mine who works for Bentley, Bugatti etc. always say that a big thing for robbing hp and friction is really the valvetrain that why Fiat did the Multiair which is far from perfect but a first step in the right direction

AC
Power Steering
Thermactor
Choke Plate
Alternator
Water Pump
Motor Chain
Camshaft

also Automatic is robbing a lot compared to the 4 speed toploader

The Thermactor is maybe not to bad but not like a modern drag racing system becuase on my 68 Fastback Dragster I also have a smog pump to catch the crap and collect it in my catch can, from what I know a smog pump also if its belt driven like mine and transport the crap in a catch can will gain hp because of the cleaner air/fuel mix so higher octane ratings will stay where they are and a big plus the pump helps the pistonrings to seal better because of the vaccum it creates. Dynosheets show gains from 15-35 hp with such a system. I think the most is coming because of the cleaner air/fuel mix it will create.

Maybe Dave or Bob have an answer on that?
