Anyone have one of these setups on a Shelby GT350? I know a guy who love it on a 66 225HP car.

What is the best and easiest way to "deal" with the clutch spring under the dash? How do you actually unhook it and re-hook it? I have heard remove the whole assembly? I have heard somehow shoving coin in-between the spring thus enlarging it so you can take it out and put it back in?? Pair of pliers and using all you might to stretch it and remove it??? OR?

Long time saac guy. Many many many many Shelby's and Fords over the years. Regular guy who loved Shelbys and Boss Mustangs. Cars were fun for him. NOT a trophy on a shelf.

The Lounge / NOT related to cars...

I just want to know if anybody is into vintage and high end stereo equipment? I have been into stereo things since 1977 and have collected much over they years.
I had the pleasure of working at a place called Audio Classics in Binghamton, home of McIntosh Labs. Thus I have a nice collection, to which I am finding myself ready to part with a few things.
I started to put things on ebay and the best I can say is that ebay has gotten "strange" also I wonder with their discount shipping, many of my units have green damaged in shipping. Or that is the game people play now.
I am just wondering if any of fellow car guys might be into this stuff?
This is a "just asking" post, just trying to find out.

The Lounge / Was not sure where to list this....

In Knoxville today it was sunny and 80 plus degrees. Took my 3 cars out for a ride.

66 GT350, guage shows hot but that might be The Normal? no signs of overheating, I did top it off so it did spew a little, but not much, upper hose was hot and tire to squeeze.
67 GT350, guage almost midway, not really overheating, but it did spew more, upper hose same as the 66. I did top it off.
70 Boss 302, guage shows nice, but it spewed, upper hose same as above, topped it off also.

Is it because I topped them off? I have done that before and once they are done spewing, they seem fine however level seems very low. Are any factory gauges to be trusted? All radiators have been cleaned and serviced. Not sure on the caps but the 66 has a 14 on it, the other two have a 13 with the 67 being the loosest and the 66 being super tight.

Do I have issues? I would like to take one to cars and coffee Sunday?

April 13, 2022, 10:27:29 AM
1967 Shelby GT350 or 500, driver condition, numbers need not match, driver condition. MUST be a 4 speed
2005 or 06 Ford GT, will listen to a "story car" or higher milage car.
2012 or 2013 LS Boss 302, under 10K miles with all the new car stuff.

I put driver condition 2X, because that is what I want. A nice car, to drive. Not a battered or painted over rust type. PM ME PLEASE.

Just asking, but is there a owner of a FGT that might be thinking of selling? I would like to look into a car with "Stories" meaning in its history, it might have had issues. Like a test drive gone bad sort of thing? PM me.

Up For Auction / Opinion (s)

Just asking, seems nice, is it overpriced? Future value? I am thinking of it for my collection. I know I should not worry about future value, but someday if or when I am gone, I do not want my family to be told it is only worth 20K. Not sure which way this hobby will be going, with what is going on in this Country.

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Front end height
December 06, 2021, 09:08:42 PM
Just acquired a GT350. It is a non Koni car but it has them installed. Also, it does not have the upper arm relocation. To me it is high in the front. (From the ground to the top of the fender, centered to the wheel, it measures 35 inches). Is that somewhat a normal height? I have 215-65-14 tires.
I would like to lower it, front only. What is the best means?
Order custom front springs?
Relocate the upper control arm?
Other?
Not interested in cutting the coil, or lowering the back also.
