GrÄstorp is 2 hours south of my location. The problem is that I live in Norway, and at the moment the border to Sweden is closed do to Covid 19. Do have connections in that area that might help. Let me know.

FL SAAC, thanks for posting the T-Bird !

I think that's in Finland ? the car on the left is a '67 Ford Taunus, and has a Finnish flag decal on the right side. Looks like a port,

with the cranes,  those trucks look new.

Mike

Yes that's what i was told Finland

Also the T Bird enters a race im Finland and it did not Finish .....

From Finland today.

Thunderbird has finnish temporarily company plates (koe K-188)
That koe-type plates has been used between 1972-1986.
I think that picture has been shot in Helsinki at Oy Ford Ab import harbour. Ford had their own cape land and harbour in Helsinki from 1930 till -90'ties
Behind T-bird are british Ford D-series trucks, very common at those days

You are right! Missed that one. Still an odd looking plate on the T-bird.

Pertaining to the Viper in the painting...I don't disagree that it is out of place, in a historical sense, but...

At the risk of creating "topic drift",  I just wanted to point out that two very talented guys (Joel Jackson and Monty Montgomery) at Shelby Automobiles in Whittier scratch-built the original (pretty sophisticated) tube-frame chassis for the "Cobra for the '90s" before it was called Viper.

I worked there at the time, in Shelby PR, and occasionally would peek behind the curtain to see the latest mods. There was a mock-up a V-10 made of wood.

After the chassis was presented to a group of Chrysler people (in CS's words to me, later in his life) "Chrysler took it and f****d it up."

Following that, yes, Carrol's role in the Viper was mostly as figurehead.

In 2008, Joel Jackson wrote a book called "Fast Days" that covers the interesting story behind the development of the Viper, warts and all.

Thunderbird in Finland

Are you sure that its in Finland?

Back in the day, Finland had black plates with white numbers/letters. Later they got white plates with letters/numbers mostly with a - between the letters/numbers. I can not remember any letters/numbers on the left side on the plate. May be some type of custom or embassy plate!
