1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Ammeter Wiring ?
« on: January 15, 2020, 03:18:36 PM »
I did a search but found nothing on this.... but my question is..... I have read somewhere guys remove, or just don't connect their ammeter wiring harness for fear of an electrical problem.... or fire ?

Is this true, and can someone enlighten me prior to me hooking mine back up on my GT-350  ?

Thanks in advance,
Bob

I was always under the impression if all the fiberglass and steel gaps were perfect, it had been messed with.

Good used repro 10 spoke or 15x6 steel will be fine...... I would prefer a plain black steel wheel.

My GT350 is a driver, so I dont really need a $400.- original.

Thank You,

Bob

225 60's. Fender lip rolled, lowered springs. No rubbing issues, unless you
turn into a "ramped" driveway at speed.

Tom,

Is that raven black with silver stripes I see ???

Bob

PS.... I screwed up when I put 215/60R15s on the front..... should have gone 215/65R15 to match the 235/60R15s on the back..... rookie mistake.

If I somehow mess it up, can the plastic line be sourced ?

Thanks Bob..... kinda what I thought. Does the plastic line become brittle/fragile with time ?

I'm assuming I need to be very careful with it........

JD,

Thank you for the information.......

Is there a special way to remove/install the sending unit on the extension.... or the tube ?

Thanks again,

Bob

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / '67 Oil Pressure Sender Extension ?
« on: October 19, 2019, 11:04:57 AM »
It appears that I have a bit of seepage at one of the ends on my extension.

I was going to remove and either reseal, or replace, until I saw that my oil pressure sender appears not to be connected by an electrical wire, but what looks to be a very small id plastic line. I'm assuming a small vac line.

Please educate me as to what I am looking at, and how best to deal with it ?

Thank you in advance.

Bob
