Florida Region SAAC / Looking for former GT350 owner in Talahassee
« on: April 19, 2019, 06:17:27 PM »
Guys,

I am trying to locate one or both of the first 2 owners of my '67 GT-350.

Originally lime gold, but was changed to white prior to 1987.

Both from Tallahassee..... Charlie McNabb orig purchaser, then sold to Merlin Mitchell about 1987 and he owned until about 2009.

Any help or contact information would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Bob Given

I need a good condition brushed aluminum passenger dash bezel that goes above the glovebox.

Let me know what you have, and thanks in advance.

They are now that I have the BFGs on the car....... I have listed in the appropriate 'Parts for Sale' section of the Fourm.

Thanks to all that rendered an opinion on the replacements.....the car certainly drives and handles much better now.

Just removed a set of large letter 4 - E70-15s from my GT-350

These were installed by the prev. owner sometime in 2016.

All are soft, pliable, no cracks, several orig tits still in place, nice even tread profile with very few miles.

All measure 10-11/32"      DOT numbers and date codes (52nd week of 15)on inside of tire only.

$250.- each   Shipping is yours.

Well... the car is here now, and sure enough no DOT numbers or date code on these tires.

Is it possible to be on the in side ....?

UPDATE - The Speedway 350s came off last nite.... sure enough, the DOT stamp with date code are on the inside only..... and no there has been no grinding on the outside of the tires.

Thanks,

BG

The reason I ask is,  I am having the bias ply Sppedways removed from my GT350 next Friday and I know the tire shop will be using the lift. They will ask about jack points and I want to be able to give them accurate info, so any assistance is appreciated.

I will look in the owners manual..... any other advise ?

Thanks again,
Bob

What are the best jack points under the car when putting on a lift please, and do they differ from the scissor or floor jack points ?

Thanks in advance.

« on: April 01, 2019, 06:42:40 PM »
Personal taste for me is no stripes, but I have owned 67's in the past with stripes, they were WW. I would be careful of the wideness and would not taper them like the 65, 66.
I would not put them on, and enjoy the car that way, and if you still want to later, add them.

.... or have a good wrap guy apply them, then if you don't like them, or get tired of them, he can peel them off.  Some of these wrap guys are pretty talented.
