The Lounge / Seen this 289 on CL
April 15, 2018, 09:21:07 PM
Cool 289 with zero miles on it. Was donated by Ford for educational purposes. Still has the blue overspray paint on exhaust manifolds.

Thought I'd share.

The Lounge / Sight Not Secure!!
April 13, 2018, 06:58:49 AM
When I come onto the SAAC forum, it says. "Sight Not Secure" in the web bar and continues saying that even after I am logged on and the entire time I'm on here. This just started recently. Anyone else have this happening?

Parts For Sale / 67/68 FB Original Q'panel Exts.
April 09, 2018, 09:33:37 AM
I wanted to come here and our sister forums first. I have a pair of original 67/68 Fastback Q'panel extensions. Excellent shape. No chips,  no breaks and I found a very small hairline crack on one, I put moderate hand pressure on it with no problems.
See photos and ask any questions.  If other photos are needed, I have several just ask.
Asking $125 plus the ride.
PM if interested.
Rich

And YES, before anyone says, I DO know that 67/68 FB Mustang ext are different than 67/68 Shelbys ;)
Just thought I'd come here just in case someone had a 67/68 FB that needed these or knows someone.

FOR SOME REASON, CANNOT POST PHOTOS, HAVE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM HERE. IF INTERESTED I CAN SEND PHOTOS VIA EMAIL. OR, GO TO THE 428 SIGHT AND YOU CAN SEE THEM THERE.
THANKS

Are the Marque early magazines selling for this kind of money? You noticed I said "selling" and not "sold", cause it don't look like anyone is running to click the buy it now button.  I seen several ebay sellers trying to sell these Marque magazines but don't look like they're moving to well.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / 67 underdash amperes gauge

Were there markings on the back of the amp gauge of the 67? If so, were the numbers sequenced like 357DP-?? or something like that? Just curious.

SAAC Forum Discussion Area / Service Replacement
February 20, 2018, 03:51:01 PM
I hear the words service replacement parts and also assemblyline parts here quite often. So we all know we would rather restore our cars with assemblyline correct parts.  I'm no expert by no means of the imagination, but is a service replacement part considered NOS and/or OTC?

Sometimes I get confused as to what the real definition of "service replacement" is. I do know that when a person back in those days went to the Ford parts department, and received a part, that part IS a service replacement, but still is considered NOS??  That's where I have trouble on occasion.

I have a front bumper on my 69 that is a Ford replacement with a date code of 1980.  So, is it still considered NOS but also a service replacement?

The Lounge / Tech articles?
February 13, 2018, 08:39:14 PM
Would like to see more tech articles like the old forum had. The old forum was loaded with good tech articles and a lot of know-how, even when it comes down to date codes, numbers, etc,...

Come on guys!!!

I can click on anything here on the SAAC forum and it takes forever for the page to show!! The little twirling circle just keeps twirling!!

I don't have trouble any where else on any other forum or any where on the web for that fact except for here on the SAAC forum.

Is this happening to anyone else?
