So I will go on record that #2693 came with Shelby American.  Thanks for the tip on the console light.  Now, if I can just get a photo of the console clip :)

Looking for input regarding which sill plates are correct.  I pulled the originals (I think) many years ago and replaced with a new set.  I kept the originals and now thinking of putting them back.  Did not remember that there was a difference.  The originals have shelby american and the replacements say shelby automotive.  Curious as to what is actually original to the car.
I would also like to replace the courtesy light bulb in the console.  Is there an easy way? Or does the console need to come out?
While I'm at it, I am still looking for the clip/retainer for the console lid post.  A picture would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

1965 GT350/R-Model / Re: GT 350 Carb?
June 14, 2022, 07:04:56 PM
What would the applications be for this carb?  If this is a Hi-Po carb then A 67 K-code 289?
I believe i bought the carb and small letter manifold as a package deal.  Never installed on my 65 SFM 5S259.

1965 GT350/R-Model / GT 350 Carb?
June 14, 2022, 05:06:41 PM
Getting some things out of their boxes after many years.  I bought many, many years ago a carb that was supposed to be correct for mid production 65 GT 350.  After closer inspection it is a 3259-1 but a date code of 743.  Did I get a raw deal?

It is as you described.  The fiberglass has separated a bit on one side.  Any thoughts on value?
Thanks

1965 GT350/R-Model / 65 Dash Pod
March 23, 2022, 01:36:20 PM
Many years ago when I owned a 65 Shelby I bought a replacement dash pod.  I never replaced the old one because I grew to love the patina.
I remember at some point whether it was a SAAC article or here on the forum there was discussion as to how to tell the originals from after market.  Mine is in it's original box marked S1MS.
I bought it around 1987-1990.
Thanks

1968 Shelby GT350/500/500KR / Shelby Hubcaps
February 20, 2022, 06:03:31 PM
After about thirty years I have decided to shelve my non original 10 spokes and put the original hubcaps back on.  In doing so I noticed that I did not have a nice flush fit.  It appears the balancing weights are in the way.  It's been so long I don't remember having to have the weights installed on the back of the wheel.  If I could get some pictures of yours that would help a lot!  Sure don't want to lose any or all!  While I'm at it, is there one method better than others when it comes to putting them on?

Thanks for any help

Thanks everyone for the feedback.  I should have been more specific  in my post.  I want to make sure the cover I get accommodates the the long nose of the 68.  I got one years ago that didn't cover the entire front end.
Thanks again!

After 37 years it's time for a new car cover for my 68 convertible.  Thought I would ask those who should know or have had recent experience.
Thanks for your help!
