On my 66 I'm running the legendary 10 spoke 15X7 - utilizing 225/50/15 tires. My car has 1 inch Shelby drop and 1 inch lower front springs. So far so good - no rubbing issues. The wheels look really nice but are not perfect match to the originals, but close. I plan to send my original 14" wheels off to be restored and only use when showing. If you want see a picture i can load later. I'm at work right now and no pics on my work computer. My legendary 15X7 wheels balanced out very well taking very little weight. To make the wheels more visually appealing used stick on weights. I know this is not the exact wheel you asked about but I can speak to fitment and quality of my experience. I wanted the legendary 15" wheels for several reasons, affordable 2nd set wheels, better handling with lower sidewall tire, more tire options,  not damage original wheels, and modern CnC machined for better balancing.

I would prefer to by American made and do when I can,  but very often there is no other options. I hope this helps and good luck.  Fred

Thank you Charles and Bob,

Charles yes i was already planning to only repair the damaged part of any sheet metal leaving as much original metal intact as possible. your example of the inner fender for  the battery box, mine  is about 20% rotted (Ive seen worse). When i purchased my car the previous owner included a 66 coupe to do exactly what you suggested.

Bob, I truly appreciate your insight. I you gave me several good ideas and information I didn't  know before.

Last question.....,  the original ford tooling metal widely available today is NOT comparable with ford stamped metal? Are you saying when i buy sheet metal displaying O.F. Tooling its is made by Danial Carpenter?

So planning to start my full restoration on 6S2227 next year. (BTW fully assembled, never wrecked, never taken apart, sitting since early 80's-exciting times!)  Ive been buying limited NOS metal in preparation for my work. Ive always wondered about the variety and history of factory metal. Can someone explain the following - also which is best?
1) red oxide primer sheet metal with fomoco paper sticker and date code stamped in metal (my experience oldest example of metal ) no yellow paint part number.
2) red oxide primer sheet metal with a yellow part number painted on back side (not sure if date code stamped on or not?)
3) black colored sheet metal - typically newer looking part number decal\sticker on sheet metal- does it have a date stamp?
4) original ford tooling sold everywhere today - i know ford must be compensated for the use of their FORD name. It is REALLY stamped from the original tooling machines? because Ive used (in other projects) OF Tooling metal which fit TERRIBLE. equally as bad as some import metal.

Hopefully ive done a decent job in explaining my questions. Thank you all for your valuable time in responding- Fred

You're welcome, rraceme. I found the video in my feed after watching the posted video of a racing Hertz doing burnouts. I liked the sound of the engine and how the car sat. I missed the export brace initially. I like how he fabricated brake ducts for the front valance. It thought it quite innovative.

Best,
Richard E.

Even how the car sits looks great, the stance is very mean looking, you can tell it was a track day car. I wish I knew what type rear spring set up is in the car?  It may not be a real GT350 it looks and sounds great.  thanks!
As a sidebar, here is a painting I commissioned that fairly and accurately portrays the stance of my Dorian Gray.
Below is the photo that Ruben Duran, the artist, worked from. The painting is hand painted from pencil sketches. The guy does amazing work. I asked that he put me forever in the California desert and I named the painting Desert Rental. He even made a metal plaque with the name. Hus work should be displayed in the Art Institute.  We've seen enough bowls of fruit for God's sake.  How about a vintage car or two at speed.

475 pound springs front with one inch drop and leafy leaf springs in the back with Cobra Automotive lowering blocks. Rubber is 205 60R 15 front and 215 60R 15 back. I lucked out with the stance. Not from any brilliance on my part. Dumb luck was at work. I did all the spring work myself much to my amazement. I am no genius when it comes to working on cars so if I can do it, I absolutely guarantee that anyone can do it.
Best,
Richard E.

RICHARD, it  looks great! Lucky you owning a red hertz! very rare color combo. Yes you have a great stance ..... and you car looks good too! LOL thanks for sharing your photo. how much better did your car handle once you changed the spring/tire combo?

I saw the car in person when I used to live in Los Angeles, it's an A code mustang. I disagree with people that think this is okay, the car had a fake Shelby vin tag on it and is being portrayed as a real car, lets hope it's representing 2227 since the owner of that Shelby is cool with it.

Nobody on this forum is saying use real vin numbers on fake GT350 and representing your clone as real is wrong... this includes me.

427hunter was the one suggested to all future readers to use my vin 2227, not me. Why? because im ok with clones? In my world, we are all entitled to our opinions. That's all it is ---  my opinion, your opinion, their opinion. Also this forum is for varying opinions, outlooks, and lifestyles.

Deathsled - thank you for posting the video - it was cool to watch, motor sounds great, wheel tire combo nice, & the fake GT350 stance is mean looking. I had not seen video before and enjoyed it very much.

I love this forum- even when I have a different opinion than someone else. This forum has the greatest collection of knowledge on GT350's anywhere!  I don't get to read but twice a week (because I work 70 hours a week) but when i do I really enjoy it.

427hunter if I offended you in any way - Im sorry not my intent.  Feel the Shelby love!

Sorry i offended you (or others) but it is just your opinion, as it is mine. That is fine, I'm sure there are others which share both our opinions. I've seen many clones but never seen one with an actual Shelby number on the vin. I'm sure they exist ive not seen one. Most vins i see are unstamped......  i did see one once stamped FAKE - that was funny - this was at the 45 anniversary MCA show at Barber motorsport.

Seems like your comment was slightly vindictive but sure if someone wants put 2227 on their tag fine with me ( as suggested by 427hunter). I'm the caregiver of the real car and nothing can change that. The clone owners Ive interacted with love shelbys that is why they incorporated GT350 styling into their cars. My opinion,  it is a tribute to these cars that we all love and the legacy of GT350's. If someone has a clone and pretends it is real, they should not do it,  and should never stamp their clone vin tag with a real Shelby number.  ( i just edited this comment to be more clear) But it does not hurt my car or my hobby.

Once again sorry if i offended you- not my intent. This forum should be for all with varying opinions.

BTW- I love this forum........ almost as good as owning a GT350!
