I agree 100%, anything that is better than what's currently available is always a winner! Bob made a good point, old plastic versus possibly better modern equivalent plastic. Did not mean to come across as a negative nancy they were just questions of concern. Thank you again

You cannot use these molds to make fiberglass parts.  Also you can not make fiberglass parts fit.  They have to be made out of plastic so you can manipulate them to fit.  The price is probably going to be around $500 per set.
It could be my old age but I just dont understand, is anything being done to strengthen them/reinforce  them so they dont warp just like all our originals did and are?. Just like if an original 65 plastic gauge pod was replicated with the same material, it would just warp again. So excited and 8nterested in this project, I just want to better understand what I will be getting and if it's worth the time and effort for replacement. Thanks again for your efforts.

Hi Chad, Thanks for your efforts on driving this project with your friend. Question since there are going to be master moulds for the final product can you friend offer them in fiberglass also? I just cant see putting these on so that they can just warp again down the line.

Here is a close up of the back side of the switch. I am not sure if one can state emphatically this is an R or a B. I would love to see other evidence of this logo displayed on another product from anyone, Raydyot, Bulgin, Arcolectric, or whomever made it. I do know that the Arcolectric and Bulgin switch bodies from that period were both made from bakalite like this one and have the same exact threads on them. I have examples of them.

Are the Raydyot switch with the metal threads still available from local vendors?
I have not found one anywhere from them yet!

So this thread kinda dropped off a bit, can anyone share pics of there cars horn waiting and how it connects to the main harness. What gauge wire was used? Are all examples yellow wires? How about total length of the wires themselves and how it was routed to the switch. Thanks for the help on advance.

I just got off the phone with David. He is not restoring them anymore, it's just to time consuming for him and takes away from the cars he is restoring. It was a great lead and he was very kind over the phone.

I had a nice original like the one in Phill's photo restored by David Davis at DSD Restorations, turned out very nice.

https://www.dsdrestoration.com/about
was it rebuilt internally or just physically restored?

Wanted to Buy / 65 steering wheel

Does anyone have a complete 16 inch steering wheel set up or 15 inch set up? Or hub only or what do you have??

Does anyone know if the 16 inch wheel and the 15 inch early 3 hole wheel share the same bolt pattern as the later slotted 15 inch wheel? As I read there are two versions of the three hole wheel, the difference between the two being in the spokes hole sizes and possibly the bolt patter as well.
I have not had a 3 hole wheel before. The 16 inch wheel I had was the same bolt pattern as the 15 inch wheel I had . The aluminum hub fit both.
Thank you bob that helps allot. I feel the aluminum hub I have is original but when, where and by who were the additional 6 holes drilled and tapped to fit this 3 hole wheel I have is a mystery. Another member is working on reproducing the 3 hole wheel and the wheel in his keep fits the cast S1MS bolt pattern but his is a variation of the three hole wheel that has holes a bit bigger than the holes on the wheel I have and another he has noted from another wheel.
