And for note the bolt pattern for this 3 hole wheel does not match the later 15" slotted wheels bolt pattern. This wheel  came with an aluminum hub so maybe it's an early version of the 3 hole wheel that mates only to the aluminum hub as it wont mate to the chromed cast hub.

Does anyone know if the 16 inch wheel and the 15 inch early 3 hole wheel share the same bolt pattern as the later slotted 15 inch wheel? As I read there are two versions of the three hole wheel, the difference between the two being in the spokes hole sizes and possibly the bolt patter as well.

Here is a pic of an aluminum hub but with 12 holes two different wheel bolt patterns, one bolt pattern for the three hole wheel and another bolt patter for the slotted wheel. I dont know why or understand the two different bolt patterns.

Thanks for the post! Great pics but that is the cast hub that is chrome plated. Looking for a pic of early aluminum hub.

I used a torch to heat up the area for a minute or two then gave s whack with reversed nut on top like you and it popped out. Just control where you direct the flame.

Don't want to get into the weeds here, but the earlier C4 emblems usually have much more detail in the horse, particularly in the head area.
+1 the eye indentition is very pronounced and the colors are a different tone also.

This is what I have. NOS in the box.  Box says c5zz but emblem is c8?

those are just service replacements, you will find an assembly line C4 in a fomoco box, at least all the ones I have found NOS over the years.

Hey all, was the aluminum steering wheel hub only used on the 16 inch split spoke wheels? Can someone please post pics of an original aluminum hub, front and back please.

Now that the correct switch has been identified as well as the correct replacement it is interesting to find out about the logo in the backs of them. I found this picture of a vintage Raydyot switch and it has an interesting looking R logo on it. Have not found any other pics so far.

I am glad to know that it's the original metal thread switch used for replacement. I like the black paint idea!
