Thanks and my favorite color combo black with a red interior. I am not well versed on the hoods of those 427 cars. Is that a factory hood?

Thanks, it is a factory hood but the original owner mounted a shelby scoop on to it.
I always thought the 67s had the fiberglass hood with that low sleek scoop at the front. Or was that 66?

You planning on building your own or buying and just installing prefab cabinets and such.

Front garage is messy right now - too messy for pictures ::)

New shop is still :( in the planning stage.

I find what is most interesting in the build is finding ways come up with creative ways for specialized storage and needs I have or may have. Often this is easy and cheap but you need to realize the need before the build since forgetting to include them means that they can't often be added later.

GarageJournal.com is a great/the best website for ideas and that sort of thing.

Jeff I have had this discussion before with some here on some of these processes. When were these pics taken? could the processes have been changed during the year?  When I tore my vert down for  it's first time I investigated for the grill color. At one time the grill and buckets were painted black. When the stone guard was removed both headlight buckets  had what appeared to be dark argent metallic on them where the guard overlapped the buckets. The backside of the grill appeared to have the same. I had Painter's supply color match all 3 pieces and told them I suspected dark argent. It matched. I was told it would be impossible for my car to have  that paint on the backside of my grill(used upper grill bracket area) but it did. I have torn apart many Mustangs  since 1977 and I know my car had never been taken apart. To me it would make sense to change the process of painting the body color parts together and spraying all the grill and bucket components in batches. Then assemble. The process shown here doesn't make sense for productivity nor waste of masking paper and tape. But the process shown  here is why we see  varying taped off areas by the hood tie down brackets sprayed dark argent metallic on many Shelbys. I remember 3052 had no  dark argent paint on the fenders at all unlike earlier cars I have seen and that car had all original paint under the hood. Gary

Fourteen cars are listed in the registry as derailment cars.  The rail cars held fifteen cars, so either there were only fourteen on the rail car, or one is not listed.  If they were bringing fourteen cars back with various degrees of damage, why not bring all fifteen.  There has to be some memo somewhere in S.A.I files pertaining to the cars, to date nothing has surfaced.

I have compiled a spreadsheet containing all fourteen cars, their number, and where they were being shipped.  Unfortunately, the spreadsheet does not paste on the forum in any readable form.

Greek
screen shot the spread sheet  and post as a pic.

The big question I have is there a problem with color fade due to the  film installed. Was just warned by a co-worker.

Hey....speaking of that, what are the capitol gains tax laws on a purchase such as a 6 figure shelby??
when you sell if you make a profit you pay either 20 or 25 percent the last time i sold a car. Keep all receipts and they wouldn't let me write off any other cars i "lost" money on that year against the profits of said sold car. Of course with the new tax laws it could have changed. .

Another was when another friend bought a 67 GT500 a few years ago. Sellers wanted 100K. He walked into the house. sat at a table. Pulled out his firearm and set it in front of him them offered 80K for the car pulling out the cash. Cash deal he told them. No bank transactions. No capital gains.....they took the cash.

Speaking of cash stories the one that had me shaking my head was when a really good friend sold his 71 all original HEMI N96 Challenger around 2004. He sold it thru Galen to a guy in the middle of Mn and cornfields. The guy had a lot of ex super stock HEMI cars. Ed Meyer knows the guy. Car sold for 195K. Guy wired 10K and my friend offered to deliver. Guy called the bank and had the banker open up the bank to pay my friend. He drove home back to Mi with a briefcase with 185K in it. Ed later told me the car ended back in Mi not long after. My 68 Shelby went to France. Guy wired me the $$$$. Seems the best way to deal with a lot of money-unless you don't want to pay Uncle Sam capital gains tax.

Starting at 2:15 some great footage of a 1969 Boss 302 being chased by a '70 Road Runner (really a Satellite?).  Unfortunately, it doesn't end well.  Fast forward to the end if you ever wondered what happened to Marcia Brady.
no a real RR. BTW I like the real 69 Boss 302 spoiler on the Boss. Bowed

Thanks. Not friends with him but have 38 mutual friends.

He has nearly 5,000 friends, after seeing his Vegas pics, I am surprised it isn't more than 38.
Well that is under my everyday FB page where I have 317 friends. Under my car page where I post only cars-made it  to post some friends cars that don't do FB I have almost a 1000 friends and Capt Dave is one of them.  Gary

Whoops, I had to delete the Marti report when I realized the Ford VIN was still showing.

Here it is in redacted format;
Thanks. So anyone now can have the Ford serial number of any 67 Shelby. I didn't know that as you can order a Marti report for any car-don't have to own it.
No Gary that is a wrong assumption. You have to have both numbers to get a Marti report for a 65-67 Shelby. You don't have to own it but you do have to have both numbers.  Kevin is not dumb. He is aware of the possible reasons people try and get them.
Thanks for the clarification Bob.
