Charles, If you're unable to locate the one you're looking for, you might want to check with Marti Auto Works, they make reproduction carburetor tags for some models. Denny

Is the white arrow on the top left of the photo pointing to you? Looks like a fun time.

Hi Tinface, thanks for sharing, good solid article. I liked the clock approach, I'll take that advice. Denny

I agree with 2112, they're Addidas. Did he cut the cuffs off the bottom of his blue jeans too? What a trend setter he was.

Hi Everyone,

My Son-in-Law's Brother, John, sent me the following information regarding lost Forum data:

I saw that the SAAC forum had some issues, and you guys apparently lost a ton of data.

I'm not sure if you are aware, but there are sites that archive the internet.

I found this, thought I'd share. Hopefully it includes some of that lost info:

https://web.archive.org/web/20170913094854/http://saacforum.com/

Hope this helps,
John

Just copy the link into your browser and you just might find a topic and posts previously thought unrecoverable.

THANKS John!

Denny

I'd like to know the story behind this photo. It looks like the bowling ball bag was the only survivor.

Looking Back / Re: SAAC4 June 28 - 30, 1979

I'd like to see them all. I was there in Downingtown for SAAC 4, and at that time the Country was the middle of the gas embargo. We loaded up with extra five gallon cans of gas to make sure we had enough fuel to get there and back. Denny

Brian, All the glass on 6S1568, front, sides, vents, and back window, are all dated January 1966. As far as I can deduce, the car was assembled mid-March 1966 at San Jose. All glass is original. I hope this helps, let's see what others have to say. Denny

Yikes, but I just had to look at the photo. Still shaking my head, but then I'm old enough to be her Father.
