Discovered this bracket in the box of parts with my car.  What is it or where does it go???  It is approximately 7" by 2".

My GT 500 came with a front chrome molding, all wrapped up from "plater". When opened, I discovered a dent and a scratch. Anyone able to help me out?

What color/treatment would I put on the underside of the front fenders? Body color? Undercoat? Primer?
On the front center hood scoop, behind the opening, Is that area painted black or is it body color?

From Shelby American, how would the front wheel well (iapron to the firewall) be correctly painted?  I have seen some of them with body color in this area. is it red oxide, body color or

I do realize that the tray under the grill was painted with the grill paint while the front end was assembled. My question is concerning the under side of this pan. I know that initially, the whole car was painted body color. Next, Shelby took the front assembly, masked it off, and shot the gray. (As in the attachment) Did the bottom of the tray get painted gray, or was it left body color with over spray?  OR???

I have all new wiring (Alloy Metals) and both new gauges (Branda) installed, along with new sending units. I have checked the installation, but am not getting any readings on either gauges. No drop off on the ammeter when I turn on the key. No pressure reading on oil. All the connections have been checked (with a power probe) and are good. My interior toggle is working and I have verified the grounds.  I need some suggestions from some of you electrical guru's.

I just don't know if any registrys exist on early K code cars and any help would be appreciated. I am looking at a 65 fastback K code and have some concerns. The vehicle VIN is 5F09K749605. I am having a difficult time determining if the block is original, and is a K code block.  Does anyone know of this car b the VIN or any history.  I did see that it went thru Mecum, but nothing since then. 

Has anyone repaired the wire mesh screen on a 69 grill.  I just discovered that there are two breaks in the screen and would love a repair technique vs. getting a replacement $300.00, grill

69 GT500, with ALL new, rebuilt or fully restored components.

Finally got the car running for the first time in over 19 years.  The problem occurred that after starting the engine, timing it and setting the fuel mixture, when I went to shut off the engine (with the key), the car continued to run at idle speed. Moved the key from run, to off, to acc, back to off - no change - it continued to run.  I had to disconnect the battery to shut it off.   And I am not talking the dieseling/run on effect for when a motor is refusing to shut off.  It is running and will accelerate with the key off. Thoughts/suggestions on where to start troubleshooting.

In the picture attached of the stone guard (17779), the front portion of the guard has a black edge. Is this portion painted black, or does it have a seal in place? Just wondering what the part looks like in final configuration.

When installing the side scoops on the quarter panels, what is used as a sealer/adhesive in addition to the clips and screws?

On the dash, which light is on top and which is on the bottom?

About the seat belt warning light, where does the bracket attach under the dash.  And secondly, you will notice that the two wires were cut on the ends. Where do they attach and what type terminal would be on these wires.  I have NEW Alloy Metals under dash harness.  Is there a pickup lead on this harness for those cut wires, along with the green wire on the bullet style plug in dash light harness?

0n my 69 GT500, I received the car in pieces. The kick down rod that I have, I "THINK", is wrong for the car. Does anyone have a correct rod who can measure the length from center-line to center-line, following the curvature.   I need to know if I need to find a CORRECT replacement. And if I do, I will be asking for help from you all.  Thanks
