Appeals / Re: No crank no start 69GT

The Neutral Safety keeps it from cranking while the transmission lever is in a Drive position.  It is easy to set with a wrench and a drill bit.  But it's rare that it is "off" once set (unless the nut holding it is loose).  Got a spare starter solenoid?  Buddy nearby can take one off and try on yours?  No-Starts can be difficult to track down.  Checking fuel and current.

Congratulations!

I've enjoyed mine.  But I was sort of "forced".  I'd not kept up with the ever changing world of computing.  But we were WELL set.  My first year I spent half of it assisting my parents.  They are doing much better this year physically.  But unfortunately my sister was stricken ill and passed away within weeks.  So this year has been spent dealing with her estate.  But there are still 6 Saturdays a week now!  I nap if I want.  Do chores.  Have time to do projects.
For those still working and young people, ALWAYS pay yourself (fund your retirement) FIRST.  That was how I was laid off at 59 and a half and knew I never had to work again.

James Taylor, Brian Wilson and the chick  :-*  in that Chevy, from Two Lane Black Top, what a great film ! when I went to see it at

the cinema in period, I think I was just about the only person there   ::)  It only played for a couple of nights

Mike
I've seen it a few times.  Strange flick.  Trivia over that Chevy.  That is the SAME one that is in American Graffiti, driven by Harrison Ford.

Edit to say, point was made already about the Chevy being the same car.

When is it due out?   I can't wait.
November 15.  I'm not sure if that is wide release or "Selected" markets.

Another option to try.  wadded up aluminum foil and Coke.  Makes a sticky mess but easy to wash off.

The Lounge / Re: How NOT to trailer your car

Man.....  I walk around and check all the tie downs twice.  Then shut the trailer (if enclosed).  Shoot, I pull out of my driveway, put the truck in park, jump out and check the hitch is down and locked and the safety chains are well attached and not dragging.  Then walk around the trail and look under it......

And almost daily, I see someone with a poorly secured load, dragging a chain or a tie down.....

I have a 70 428 car, and several registries.  They are a great source of information about the cars.

When I got the last one, I think I channeled Steve Martin in The Jerk.  THE NEW PHONE/REGISTRIES ARE HERE!  I'M SOMEBODY!!!

The family that owned the one here in the USA, knew what they had.  A very few "insiders" knew who had it and generally where it was.  The "news" of the other one did seem to prompt them to bring it out instead of in a garage.

Condolences to the Branda family.
My moms family was from the Altoona area and I'd drop over to his store when we'd visit the area.  Nice family.

Clean out all the old gunk in the channel.  Go to an Auto Paint supply store, the place that mixes it and only sells auto paint stuff.  There is a 3M brand glue in a caulk gun to use.  Once I did that, my windows never got loose again

"San Fernando Valley's Exclusive Distributor for Shelby-American GT350/GT500."

I can't read the bottom of the sign.  The back sign looks like the CS Logo, then something and "Parts - Accessories".

I can't see the photo? Or is it a vid?

It's an attachment of a video.  Click the hot-link near the bottom of the original posts, then I had to select "open" to view it.

Read off any and all markings on the wire and also the boots and enter them into here.

Looks like a Ford dealership.  Ken Miles and Dave sitting in a Cobra.  Carroll also there.  I would guess the older man is the dealership owner and the other man, perhaps his general manager.  The award is interesting.  It is pretty small and is a man throwing a disc's?!  Like the Olympics.  So, Dave getting an award from a So-Cal dealership for "Sportsman of the Year, XYZ Dealership"???
