Amazing how long it takes to do what one thinks is a small thing to do! Slightly moved the dipstick tube; then heater hose to the left or right of coil ! Touched up my clumsy areas ; there " TA DA " what do you think?

My Hertz never has had a spare in it since I bought it !! Which wheel was in the trunks? I have two to choose from ! I'm thinking I got the gray painted from 6s013? Or The chrome as the other four?

A California dmv code but not as explicit as I had read also an article on mustangs and fords

My Shelby is registered by the Shelby vin plates info; so in that case it's a " vin plate " ; as a past licensed vin inspector in California for five years I found the code about original owners only legally able to use their vin plate on a donor body! I don't have my book anymore and it could have changed; it was a state law so other states can differ; the Boss 302 site has some more info on variations of vin plates; I know it's best for anyone to check with your local state laws before you buy a vin plate with building intent!

Glancing through the California DMV ;only an original owner can legally use his vin plates on a donor body if the original is totaled; otherwise it's big fine and possibly jail time !!

King chief I used " sunlit yellow by Krylon; And it seem to match the original yellow I found on my driveshaft very well ; I had to make sure the stencil is tight and spray lightly

I'm amazed! Thanks and the depth of knowledge from you and others here helps us all enjoy our great Shelby hobby!! By the way my good friend Gary Underwood maybe introduced you to me at a Cobra owners event at Willow Springs Raceway? Or at a Saac event and has relied on you for his transmissions?? I'm old enough now to not be always right on my memory; so sorry if I'm wrong! Thanks Jim with SFM6S1680

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Engine coil placements
June 26, 2019, 12:31:26 PM
Back in 97 when I purchased 1680 the engine had never been removed as it had only 36k miles true odo reading; I found my coil on the drivers side; most pictures of nicely restored 66 Shelby's shows them on the passenger side? Did they come both ways?

I have a very nice set with chrome three spoke spinners that were on a falcon so they are about 3/8ths inch positive different than a 66 Hertz   : same wheels and offset can be changed if needed
