Sorry. That was more of a rail against the paddle shift crowd.

None of this is new. Only recently we have started to allow non Fords in SAAC events just to spread the cost when needed. This is not an "open track event". There are plenty of those. And although there are lots of new Shelbys at events now, there is always a concern that some Yahoo will dive bomb pass an original Cobra and destroy it then collect the insurance money and replace his new car, where the owner of the original car has lost something irreplaceable.

I think that our track events should be restricted to cars that have a manual clutch, but that's just me.

Cons:

Every annual vacation for the rest of your life will include a trip to a famous race track.
Your children will become disappointed when they get their drivers licenses because there's no interesting cars to buy.
The day after each annual convention you will go into a deep funk from which you will not recover until January or February of the following year.
You keep looking at pictures of yourself as you were standing next to a car 30 or 40 years ago and wonder why the car still looks great and you don't.

How much toluene should you mix with 10 gallons of 91 no ethanol pump gas to get, say, 100 octane?
