"I want to use EFI because it is easier to tune." -some guy with an AOL email address (probably)

The current crop of EFI systems are self learning. You install them and let them do their thing.

Uh huh. That isn't what everyone who is throwing one in the trash and buying a carb from me say.

I have no issue with efi. I have issue with people thinking it is a magic wand. You cannot buy your way out of learning how to tune an engine.

I've written at length on the subject.
All the info is found on my facebook page "AirFuelSpark"
Or on my webpage afscarbs.com in the blogs section.

Drew is correct...The engine will tell you the "sweet spot".  An old trick to find it is to extend your radio antenna (if you have one), then adjust fuel and idle to get the least vibration.

Richness and distribution help too.
Most 4v my car needs to idle 1000rpms
2x4 it can idle 875-950
3x2 it can idle 825-850

Sometimes is hard to get CJ carbs idled down enough.

Engine really and truly will tell you what idle speed is needed more so than a book will.

Fully restored by me

Build thread:
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.678554830943009&type=3&mibextid=ncKXMA

These were from my inventory.
A fella asked me to build them. He declined them when they were finished.
Inspect pictures carefully and/or ask questions.
There is some minor damage on them.

I'm about to test run them, but would rather have a customer lined up first.

Thanks!

It is 100% a .025
If all you have is a .028, that would likely be fine as well.

Insurance value can be different / more than the declared value of the declared service provided.  That was the case when I had my carb restored in the US.

Speaking of which, holding fast are they?

Of note, for valuable stuff headed to CN, I prefer to ship to a US border address. Not always possible, but sure is nice for folks to pick up stuff in person.

Services Offered / Carburetor Rebuild videos/Classes
March 16, 2023, 10:20:49 AM
In my ever expanding quest to put myself out of business, I have begun shooting videos for all of the Ford factory carbs.

Plan was to have 5-6 hour videos for the following:

-Lemans bowl (so list 3259/3255 etc)
-Boss, Cobrajet, 390GT
-3x2
-2x4

The first one is completed. (Lemans)

The idea here, aside from selling the kits and parts for these, if you wish to rebuild your own, you have me walk you through it step by step.

Thanks
