Broken flange where it connects to the header. I didn't stand a chance doing this one on my own. I have limits.

I had a similar issue with the orginal tach; it shows much higher RPM for a given speed than I thought. Put in an aftermarket tach and now with 3.50 at 70 mph runs arounds 3200 rpm. the difference is most dramatic at lower rpm's. above 4000 the tachs are similar

Richard: Or is it your speedometer? Or some of both? Is your 4th gear a 1:1?
