Agree. Just interesting some early prototype cars (mine Ford official white no stripe automatic car) didn't seem to get them.

Mine did not have one either. #285. Good to hear someone else did not. My current one was added during restoration

Did all early 66s come with rear emblem?

Broken flange where it connects to the header. I didn't stand a chance doing this one on my own. I have limits.

The car has Klutt's close ratio Toploader racing transmission with the Richmond gears.  Maybe the tachometer is reading incorrectly?  The tires on the car are currently 215 60R 15 in the rear and 210 60R 15 in the front.  Suggestions?

I had a similar issue with the orginal tach; it shows much higher RPM for a given speed than I thought.  Put in an aftermarket tach and now with 3.50 at 70 mph runs arounds 3200 rpm.  the difference is most dramatic at lower rpm's.  above 4000 the tachs are similar

^^+1

Richard:  Or is it your speedometer?   Or some of both?    Is your 4th gear a 1:1?

Yes 1 to 1. Speedo probably slow too. As we all know in the old days they could be at least 10 mph off.....officer

Yes 1:1

just put Scott Fuller system on.  If you can swing it, the best.  Great look and sound

Results were dependent on the shop who applied it. Tuff Kote used to do used cars. I thought Ziebart only provided warranties for new cars (5 years?)
