Despite the glamour shots, no hoopla at the end on this one. I was surprised it even hit $80K. Surprised it didn't meet the reserve at 85.

I asked about the rear marker light holes, and he responded that they were added by a previous owner, that the quarters weren't replaced.

This arrived, so I'm a step closer.  :)

It's got Air!! Making it 3 pedal doesn't hurt the value on this one, for sure.

Nice looking Shelby, I like no stripes. Fix the side stripes, as I also need to on mine, remove that spoiler...

Thanks to all. This forum has been a great resource for anything Shelby. I appreciate the responses, the leads, and the many of you sharing knowledge with me on so many topics. It's nice to have choices, options, and direction to find whatever is available after all these years. Thanks again.

I saw that and spoke to him. I was told by someone who does a lot of research that this hood wasn't correct for my car.

I'm looking for a set of early 67 GT350 OEM painted headlight rings, any color but chrome. Also looking for a correct OEM early 67 metal framed fiberglass hood. Please message me if you have either, and are interested in selling.

Thanks.

Congrats on your purchase.  FYI, it may be optics but it appears the upper rad hose very close or rubbing on blower pulley. Bearing mind engine tq also a factor.  Enjoy.

Thanks man. Must be the angle, doesn't seem to be letting me post a pic, but it's clear.

If you are considering removing the LeMans stripes sometime in the future you may want to replace the all fiberglass hood with the correct steel innerstructure hood at the same time. That would be the best time to make that kind of change given ether one involves painting a hood . FYI the car looks great just the way it is but just thought I would make you aware in case there is a opportunity.I am glad the car found it's way into the hands of a appreciative and enthusiastic care taker.Enjoy.

Thank you Bob! Yes, I am aware. Dave M. informed at some point during the purchase, when I asked him information about the car, that it was not a metal/fiberglass hood, so the best plan is to replace it. Correct is what I'm going for, as close as I can get. Finding a correct hood is job 1. I may just leave the stripes, until I find a hood, then repaint the car. The rest of the body is original and solid! If anyone here has or finds a correct hood for this I'd be interested. I'm leaving the Paxton, as I feel it doesn't hurt the value, and it's pretty cool.

Congrats!! can you post some photo?

Thank you gentlemen! Need to fix the side stripes, find a set of painted headlight rings, and if time and money permits I may even remove the lemans stripes. On the fence about the passenger side mirror. Grateful to have her, already put a few hundred miles on. I can't believe I own this car!!

I removed the gt350 emblem, from the slanted grill, that doesn't belong there. Looks better.

He is not in the position to re-purchase the Shelby. He said he does have some older photos the current owner may want.

Thanks guys.
