I have the new '68 registry (great piece) and am interested in how I can get a list of GT 350 sold at one dealer. Seems the info is there, just hope there is a way, short of looking through hundreds of pages. :o

While comparing the parts I have to choose from for my '68 I found my NOS Ford C8ZZ front park lights and noticed that the ones I removed have "C7ZB 13234 B. FOMOCO " printed on the black wire. The NOS ones have the wiring taped from plug to light, while the C7 pieces are a flat/3 wire exposed ,bonded together and have seperate ground terminal at the socket. Which is correct? Jan '68 build
Thanks for any info

I looked for a chart that shows ID of rear springs without success.... I believe I saved these years ago when I did tear down. Jan.68 build. Thanks for any assistance.

I made one of the templates that Ford/mustang factory shop manuals shows and not convinced it is accurate. Anyone here used or made one of them? I have the original stay pads and the template is not close to duplicating those measurements. I think the "pilot hole" that locates on the coat hook attaching screws is off by 3/4" ,or more. Any others have measurements that produce good fit/alignment? Thanks

I spent a little time cleaning my original front carpet and it came out very nice. I am tempted to use it to continue my goal of using original over repo when possible. Would anyone really notice the difference? I have been able to RESTORE many of my original parts instead of replacing them and feel it is important to use the original parts . Rear section is not useable, but blends with original front very well.....my new repo carpet has some "stitching" around the edge of rubber floor insert that the original does not. Other than that and backing of different material, looks identical. Looking for honest opinions.
Use repo? Re-use original?

I am beginning to restore the convertible top for my car and am interested to find info about how the tops were installed at assembly plant. Way too many pieces to be assembled on the car. Were they shipped as complete assembly and final adjustments made on the line? Were they ever available as complete unit from Ford? I would think that the top was built on a jig at some other location and shipped to assembly plant. Any insight welcome!

The stock/original front and rear Gabriel adjustable shocks are a dark blue color ,but since build sheets list rears as orange code do the rear/blue shocks still have orange daub? Thanks

1968 Shelby GT350/500/500KR / C4 trans question
February 08, 2020, 01:45:30 PM

I fought to get front pump out my C4 and found this small pin in the trans....not the penny.
I do not have a lot of C4 experience, but never seen a piece like it. Does not look to be broken off,but tip looks worn. I looked through the Ford shop manual and the books I have here, but nothing similar....any ideas?

Front of 1/4 stripes wrap around @door,and doors wrap around at both edges, rear edge of fenders wrap around, correct? Do the stripes go under the w/o mldgs? If not,is there a certain gap from mldg to stripe? Starting to sweat putting these stripes on  ;D

My notes do not state if the flat washer goes on top of pinchweld at firewall,or under. Seems that I thought odd that bolt went through brace w/o washer....what is correct? Thanks

Not sure how to value this. Anybody? 32" by 22" is best guess.

White convert I believe should be blacked out inside the scoop ? Just spray low-gloss black through front of scoop? Flat black? Want to be sure before I spray black where it would be difficult to remove  :o
Thanks for any tips
