Wanted to Buy / WTB: Shelby GT500 floor mats
July 02, 2020, 05:39:28 PM
This is probably futile, however I am looking for new or very good condition set of floor mats for a 1967 GT500 as formerly advertised and sold by Branda.

Bob:
The quads and fuel log had stainless crimps in '82 when I purchased the car. As for the fuel line I went to the 3/8" feed tank to pump down the outside of the rocker. So all clamps at the log and the main feed to the pump should be Olive pinch clamps?
5/16 fuel log hose used the crimp clamps. Stainless is typically too brittle and expensive to be used in crimp clamps so they are typically a bright zinc plated steel . Just the fuel line past the sender to the pump used the spring clamps. The olive identification color is for 5/16. If using 3/8 line on a 67 but wanted the historic look you could paint the silver color 3/8 spring clamps olive drab so as to not draw attention to the larger 68 model line on a 67.That is if you cared to disguise it.

Sorry to back track to this, however I need a little clarification.  I thought 1967 used all crimp clamps.   Is this the connection between the fuel tank sender and undercarriage fuel line?

The 1967 Mustang manual shows the spring clip part number as 7C176, however I am unable to find one new or used anywhere.  Would anyone have any recommendations?  I have contacted several salvage yards as well without success.

I am searching for a clip or bracket for the C6 automatic transmission.  I have found a bracket which was used for the C4, however am not sure this is correct for a C6.  I have also seen a clip used, but am interested in what is the proper return spring attachment.  Any help is appreciated.

Looking for a nice condition correct passenger vent window door and clear CarLite glass for 1967 GT500 project.  I only need the door and glass, and need good condition of chrome pivot and frame.

I have searched with no luck the finish of ihefront bumper corner brackets.  Just wondering if these were finished in semigloss black or left raw metal?  Any help is appreciated.

Wanted to buy:  I am looking for a 1967 lower power steering hose retainer bracket.  Mine seems to have gone AWOL.

"Unlike the smallblock intake which could be easily taken off and reinstalled after painting the big block intake had to be painted in place because it formed part of the valve cover rail , push rods went through it etc. could not be taken off.The hose and clamps would have been painted during the engine painting process. It was part of the typical painting pattern caused by the mask used when painting the 67 GT500 engine so that the intake stayed bare aluminum looking. I am not near my picture files to post a vintage picture of the intake. Hopefully JD or one of the others will post that for you."

Thank you very much for the confirmation.  Once I saw the painted bypass hose and clamps it made sense with the overspray pattern on the Shelby installed intake, however I am definitely learning and appreciate the knowledge of the forum.  Thank you very much to all replies.

I am starting engine assembly for my 428pi and am looking for some specific detailing information.  I have seen some photos with the water bypass hose and clamps painted ford blue.  In addition I have seen engines in which this was not painted.  Was this a Shelby factory detail such as the intake overspray pattern?  Just wondering if paint is a Shelby time saving detail?  Any help is appreciated.

That might be the most legitimate thing he has tried to move in a "ford" box in a while...  :o
