I loaded 2 pics of the alt. as taken apart. Not sure what to do. Can clearly see the blue paint . It does not need to be unique . I may just paint both black,  Thanks for all the comments.

Thanks for all the info. I removed the pulley Has always been black. To my surprise the fan had blue paint under the pulley also blue on the underside of the fan. So my pulley will be black and have a blue fan.  Sure will have more questions during resto.  Thanks again

Working on Hertz 1831. Should alt pulley be black or gold cad.?  Also what color should the alt. fan be?   Thanks

For sale a nice FOMOCO c3of 12127 date looks like 3kb. Has new points wire is nice no frays. Was advertised as a reman. when I purchased it. Shaft is very tight no play. Looks like small repair on the housing for one of the clamp attachments. Will sell for 750. Ship free and ship in lower 48 only. I do not use pay pal. US postal mo. or bank check accepted. Would consider shipping to Alaska or Hawaii if you pay for shipping. Will also consider a reasonable offer.   Thanks

Just to add. Maybe try to find the s1ms steel chrome hub. Have owned 2 over the years. Not sure when in production they were used. MY No 5s45 had the original 16 inch wheel with aluminum hub. Also had a 15 inch 65 wheel with holes in the spokes and it had the chrome hub.

Sorry no longer have the window sticker. Owned 165 in the 80s the window info went with the car. It also had an e brake warning light that was ford equip. Looked dealer installed to me. Just like cars with LE Mans stripes, some options  were installed by the dealer.  I do remember the options were handwritten on the sticker then added to the selling price by the dealer. The car was unrestored when I purchased. Did an amateur resto, will have to excuse me was pretty young.

The window sticker that came  with 165  stated backup lights as an added option. Also 2 mirrors and a dash clock. I think every dealer option should be a plus for a car. Was a dealer demo for Marshall Ford.

Was my car, and sold to Bill Collins. I diidnt own it very long. Very nice car. If I remember right the paxton was black not blue. Had a Hipo toploader but I found a proper aluminum T-10. No doubt it is a carry over. Have owned 2 carryovers 165-240 both had backup lights. Like that when purchased by me, Nice original Paxton gauges. I remember seeing the car on Jim Cowels website and at the time was offered to trade for an original 289 Cobra. I did check serial #s they were all correct and present. Hope this helps a future owner. Is one of my regrets after letting it go.
