Need a left side underride traction bar bracket and fine thread nut and bolt. Interested in original parts only. I need the bracket that is located under the shock plate and has 3 holes. Left side {driver side} only.  Thanks

Just a comment about the mustang emblems. I owned and did the restoration on 5s045 in the late 90s. The car still retains its original sheet metal. The holes for the mustang emblems had been plug welded. I dont remember but I dont think there were any welded holes for the 289 emblems.

Have owned several early cars over the years. Best was 5s045 This is my current ride my first car ever. Purchased in 1973 a 1965 k-code a Shelby rebody of sorts. Purchased the remainder of a 65 Shelby in 96 unknown #.  Had to put the aluminum T-10 from this car in 045 because it was missing. At least I can enjoy this car. Never drove 045. As far as paper I did get my first ticket on the last day of high school, did a burn out in the village square. Right across from the police station. Told my dad the throttle stuck. I think the ticket was 15 bucks.

Up For Auction / Re: 6S165 - RM - Monterey 2021

When I owned the car was intended to be a driver. Also with the thinking that carryover cars demand a higher price has changed also. Was always argued even among Shelby owners that shoulndt increase the value. IMO knowing the car the seller did very well. Nice driver, never intended to be a show car.

Not sure but I think the backups were added by the dealer along with the other options, since it was a demonstrator. Doesnt side exhaust sound better? I didnt like the full system. Should it have an aluminum water pump? Prices have gone up a bit since my ownership. Under 10 k in the 80s.  If only had a crystal ball.

My second Shelby. Purchased it around 85-86. did a quick resto job. But the paint still looks good. I had to dig for the right side SFM # had been buried under a welded patch. Still a little bent up. Not mentioned is the factory e brake warning light. It flashes when the e brake is set. Had 39,000 miles when I owned back in the 80s. The car had Mustang style steel wheels when I purchased it. The seller gave me a credit for those wheels. I was young when the car was mine and thought alloy wheels meant 10 spokes so an original set was found and then purchased the Goodyears from a local dealer, they are not repops. Didnt realize alloy wheels were supposed to be the Crag. Also I remember the floor pan had extra holes for maybe a taller driver they looked factory, I plugged them up. If the new owner needs any more info may be able to help.

The Board Room / Re: Scammed by a sac member

I should add this to the post as a warning. Before I realized the scam they asked for pics of the trans Im looking for. I have a cast iron T-10 sent those pics. The case has repairs on the ears. If you see a T-10 for sale on other forums mine could be used as a scam its still sitting in my barn. Pics included.
