1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Detail questions.
« on: March 14, 2024, 05:18:05 PM »
I am doing a 66 GT 350 and have a few detailing questions. It is a mid April Ford build.
Q.#1 What finish would the heater hose elbow at the intake manifold be? Gold cad. silver cad or engine blue?
Q.#2 What color should the dist. lead terminal at the coil be? Some say black, others say yellow.
Q.#3 The car has a cast iron T-10 and the the oil drain plug is a square drive with "MAGNETIC " on it.   Is this correct or a day 2 item?

Thank You
Rodney

I am working on a 69 Mach1 SCJ C6 car ( W code 4.30:1 ). Car has inaccurate speedometer and bouncing indicator needle. The car has been converted to a 3.50:1 gear, and not using the gear reducer. I got the correct driven gear for the 3.50's and tire size. Same problem. I pulled the cable and gear out and using my finger I was able to spin the drive gear easily. Is something different with a SCJ C6 output shaft? I though all C6's had the drive gear machined on the output shaft? I did not see anything listed different in the MPC. It acts like a toploader with a broken dive gear retainer. Any thoughts?

Thanks

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Thermostat housing
« on: September 15, 2020, 12:56:16 PM »
What was the original thermostat housing on a 1966 GT350 with a small letter S2MS intake manifold with a thermostat pocket? Would it be the C4OE-A housing with out the thermostat pocket or the C5OE-A with the thermostat pocket ( double pockets? )?
Thanks

Helping a friend to fairly value a pair of original small block Cobra solid letter valve covers with fangs. They are in good condition, complete but need restored. Price range?

I received My registry today. Thanks to all involved. Unfortunately it's beat up again by the USPS although not as bad as the 65 Registry that came a few months ago.

I received My new 2019 edition 1965 Shelby registry today. Nice read. Thanks to all that contributed. Unfortunately the USPS was not kind to it. Front cover and pages are bent and creased.

Did anyone else see the Cadillac commercial featuring two Fords? Cadillac traveling down a city street, women waving purple flags, Caddy turns left. There on the corner is a Brittney blue 67 F/B Mustang and a yellow Crown Vic cab. Apparently they don't check their commercials.
