With the advent of improved equipment for dismounting old tires and mounting new ones, risk of damage to the wheels has lessened but I'm still paranoid when it comes to minimizing any possibility of damage during these operations and during balancing.  Anyone with experience in this regard? Any special precautions to take with the 10-spokes?  TIA!
As long as the machine is set up properly and the operator is careful they are no different than any other alloy wheel. Original 10 spoke tend to be not so true though so depending on the tire machine a little extra clearance maybe required in the setup. No they do not take 100psi to seat or any where close to that. 20 to 35PSI would be normal to seat the tire on the wheel. Note; even being extremely careful sometimes the clear coat can flake off in spots on the outer edge of the wheel, like any other alloy wheel.

15 inch ten spokes are easy.   14 Inch  66 10 spokes are a bitch to mount radials
Yes 67 15" 10 spokes. Sorry I missed the 1966 header topic.

I cant tell you where they get their information. All cars had the block off cups. Some very early cars did not have the larger cups.
I will add this, when I got 02267 it had never been apart in the rear and it has the holes and screw holes for the plates ( cups) but there were no plates with no evidence of them ever being there either. A mistake at A.O. Smith? Probably.

Carroll showed up at the Spring Fling the year he drove the Viper Pace car at the Indy 500.  It was 1991 or 1994.
BUT: Most of the I.D. badges I have from the Spring Flinf have the SAAC emblem over a state of Indiana figure.
Carroll was at the Spring Fling in 1992

1968 Shelby GT350/500/500KR / Re: Directional signal installation

If I recall correctly Ford serviced the 68/9 Mustang tilt column turn signal switch with a T-Bird part. The T-Bird has cornering lights, hence the extra wires. Drake probably copied the service part. Don't worry about the 2 extra wires.

Concours Talk / Re: Color Change on Judged concours
« on: March 19, 2019, 06:54:19 PM »
We had an issue awhile back with a car that was being judged had been a color change .  After the owner had been told that the color change would be a severe deduction the owner made a big stink  and emailed all the Board of directors saying that we were changing the rules (which we didnt) It was clear in the judging sheets that the deduction was 30 points.   It  seems somewhere in the archives of ancient SAAC judging he found something that said any Shelby American color that was applicable for that year would be acceptable .  Im not sure how old that was but I couldnt find it going back ten years. Ironically after all this hissy fit and agreeing to re-instate the points we later found out that the color the car was painted wasnt even a shelby color . We had 27 owners that followed the rules and 1 that made a hissy fit and got his way.  If it was my call I would have let the deductions stand.
Thus,  this is where we are now on color changes.  We are of the concensus that the color of the car when it left the factory is very, very important . Going forward ,  A car that is Color changed entered in SAAC Premiere  (D1)  will not be allowed to be judged period!  It will be be downgraded to SAAC Concours! However in SAAC Concourse (D2)   a color change will be allowed to be judged as long as its a color that was available for that year car!  BUT  that car will not be eligible for a gold award at all and will basicly start  as a Silver and go from there.

We feel this rule is one that will help SAAC protect the integrity of the Marque and SAAC Judging
This rule (color change no deduction for factory available colors for that M/Y)  was put in place some time in the mid to late 90's for division 2 cars only. I am not sure when it was dropped.

No matter how you spin it this car still only has 2 different serial numbers not three.

I was wondering on these dual serial numbered cars witch number would have been it's official titled with VIN? Anyone care to share?

Another original tag on the back of the door, with two more serial numbers. Presto! Triple serial number car.

I believe these were built on Day 1 of production only. I suspect there are less than 20 of these cars in total.

I do have some other similar examples

Looks to be the same (the tag) as a dual VIN car just located in a different place. I would still call it a dual serial numbered car, as it only has 2 different VIN's.

Same number three times? Or three different numbers?

You might be familar with a “dual serial” number car in 1968, but has anyone here seen a “triple serial number” car?

Yes, they do exist, although they are extremely rare....
If you mean the Ford VIN stamped 3 times on the body ( not counting buck tag, door data plate, windshield VIN tag, engine and transmission stamping ) , then yes. If you mean three different VIN's then no.

I received My new 2019 edition 1965 Shelby registry today. Nice read. Thanks to all that contributed. Unfortunately the USPS was not kind to it. Front cover and pages are bent and creased.

Read the city:  Wimbledon North Dakota.......2nd degree goes on and on.
How prophetic it would have been if 2267 had been a white car instead of green?
