1969-70 Registry Update

Now that our 1967 Registry is at the printer, it's time to move the '69-70 Registry to center-circle.

The existing data is being reviewed and formatted for the new publication.

NOW is the time to submit or update your ownership data to the Registrar.

  • If you are a prior owner and have not had your tenure added to the record on your old car...
  • If you are a present owner with updated details or changes to your car...
  • If you are a new owner that needs to report your new caretaker status..

Send your details to Vin Liska, the Registrar at vinman@infionline.net

Be sure to include s/n info and your current contact info.

Very shortly, we will post a notice about submitting new and current photos of your car.
We will have a website setup to make the upload painless; watch for this notice soon.

SAAC-47 / Hagerty is the Official Driving Partner of SAAC
« on: January 26, 2022, 09:04:04 PM »

Shelby American Automotive Club is proud to announce Hagerty as the official driving partner for SAAC National Convention.

These days feel uncertain, for everyone. Our friends at Hagerty know there’s plenty of road ahead though and they look forward to supporting club events later this year.

Hagerty will be a supporting sponsor of SAAC and the annual convention for the next three-years. Whether you own one Shelby or a collection of cars, they’ll create an insurance policy to fit your needs.
Plus, Hagerty has a great newsletter, awesome videos, content, and engaging forums to keep you entertained while spending more time at home.

“SAAC is very fortunate to have Hagerty as a partner supporting wheels in motion events. We have seen incredible growth and excitement surrounding our SAAC Convention and touring events. With Hagerty fully on board, we anticipate great things ahead for all SAAC members, and we will be welcoming Hagerty Drivers Club members to join our events”, said Jim Dolan, SAAC Board of Directors.

News from HQ / Re: SAAC Sweepstakes - Win a Twin-Paxton Cobra Replica
« on: December 16, 2021, 11:23:00 AM »
Maybe the winning ticket should be drawn at the next Convention .. 🤔

We thought of that....
Normally, these type of sweepstakes run for a full year. With the convention in early Summer, that does give it a chance to run its course.

We decided to compromise with a Fall drawing date

News from HQ / Re: SAAC Sweepstakes - Win a Twin-Paxton Cobra Replica
« on: December 14, 2021, 09:09:16 PM »
Just a polite question:   Why not an aluminum body?   Yes, more $$$$, but also a significantly more correct replica.

A very good question... a fun car that was affordable and was easily converted trumped correctness. Lead time and acquisition cost was a big factor in the decision.
We wanted to present a desirable replica in a timely fashion, to kickstart some fund-raising for 2022... this fit the bill.

If this sweepstakes is a success.... maybe 2023 presents a raising of the bar... thanks!
