A mate asked if I wanted to go to a local show that was happening in a few weeks. I said yes and today was the show. It was a different kind of show in that it was indoors as well as being for the Stance crowd.

So BMWs, VWs, Supras, RX7s, crazy paint, stereos wheels, slammed to the ground cars and then there was us. Him in his 32 street rod and me in the 68 Shelby clone

Well he won best of show and I won a trophy in Vintage....what a surprise

Just goes to show that car folks are car folks, we all like great cars

We met lots of cool people and saw some very impressive cars as well

They had a poor jacked up 67 or 68 fastback a short while ago with a price I mistook for a phone number. I pay good money for these cars when in nice shape, This was crazy priced and condition was poor

Yikes, Ton of Replies, Thanks,

Bob, not afraid of that method. Sounds easier shipping wise as well

Scott, Just to clarify, I LOVE your systems and wasn't dissing them, Just not for me at this time with my driver quality car

As far as the Avrindode, I figured with rear exit rather than side it may be easier on the ears but good to know they are deafening as well.

Another issue I should have mentioned is the pesky grunting noise the car seems to make I have mentioned before, I am nearly positive its the exhaust so eliminating the whole current system may be the answer to that problem.

I am going to speak to a fairly local exhaust place who are known for very nice work and see what they say as well.

Thanks folks, Peter

With the 65 Wheels on my lawn is the first week I had it
With the original wheels is a while later
It now has Torque thrusts on it.

Cheers Folks,

Even though I adore my 66 GT50 with its 65 style side exhaust it is making me deaf

Can anyone suggest a replacement system?

My car is not concourse nor will it ever be a super duper show car in my ownership, so not looking for a Scott Fuller type of system

I don't however want to make alterations to install a new system

I am thinking about an Arvindode system at this point

Any comments, suggestions would be most welcome.

Took my old car, 2170 with its tired paint and aging good looks out today  and drove two hours round trip to a little breakfast meet early this AM

The highway had traffic issues and my satnav chucked me on backroads the whole way

I pushed the car a bit and it responded with surefootedness and a great sound track

I am always amazed at how a fifty plus year old car can bring a smile to my face

Hope your all driving your Mustangs and Shelbys.

They sure look cinched down quite hard on the chassis, Rather than strapped on the tyres.

Sorry to be a negative nancy, What a site, must have been cool to see.

I bought a 67 Camaro that had a 427 Corvette engine in it, I was lucky enough to speak to the owner of 48 years and he said he got the motor NOS from a trade school a few years prior.

It was one superlative engine I can tell you that, Four wheel drum brakes and that screamer behind the grill. It was a machine to turn petrol into smiles I can tell you that.
