CAS are garbage beyond measure. And they
Have been for decades. It's criminal they are allowed to sell them at all

I have many of these cars pass through my hands so experience a lot of these radios

The one that seems to work the best is the retro sound unit. BUT!  They are archaic in use. Someone said to me recently "I have to relearn to use it every time" and that's a spot on description. It's a very archaic design

Their Vans rust beyond belief
I see them all the time with rust pouring out of the seams

What a poor way to advertise your quality.

As stated above. They haven't been too shelf in many years

Read up on the dissolving wiring harnesses they had a while back

Very cool

I've taken a lot of 67/68s apart and never noticed a bump out there. Pretty neat

Seen a few clever places where they put a more modern retractor behind that panel though

I sell regular Mustangs in Europe. I buy 90% of them from the states

Prices are crazy. In eighteen months the price of my target cars has went up $10-15k. Also selling prices here have jumped an equal amount. I'm not making any more margin.  Just the cost of doing business has went up

I do think Covid has caused prices to rise tremendously. Folks had a lot of free time and extra money whilst not going on holiday or work in some cases

I would love it to continue but have seen roses nearly
Every month. Now is that when a guy tries to price his car he looks on the net and sees an $80k 68 C code Fastback so he asks 80?  I think there is a lot of that

I used to try to buy cars as soon as they were listed but lately have bought them after not selling for a few weeks at a higher price than I paid

I also recently sold my 66 GT350 driver quality car

I probably paid over the odds when I bought it but loved the body integrity, color and trans it had. I had what I felt was a lot in it and advertised it for exactly that amount. Someone saw the value in it. I sent them a bus load of photos and videos. They sent the money and sent her back to the US

We are not on this earth for a long time. Also I think our freedom to use these cars may be curtailed at some point. Who cares if a car appears ten percent over the odds. Buy it snd enjoy it. Future generations will be starting at them on display wishing they could do what we take forever granted

2003 we had a big house, 2 new cars and a money spinner business in Orlando Florida

Got fed up and sold up.

2004 moved to England. £400 car, horrendous cheap tint apartment. Shipped over
1m3 of our stuff at that time. Cost more to send our dogs over than to come over ourselves with all our stuff (stuff shipped a few years later)

I now import and sell classic Mustangs. Dream job most days :-)

Balsy move we have never regretted

Good luck sir

I put my car on the market without any clue as to the recent rise in prices. I am building a comically large garage and by selling my 2 personal cars it took any pressure off for the build cost. Both my cars sold much faster than expected. I put a price on my Shelby that was exactly what I had in it and several folks contacted. One decided the price was good for him and he bought it. Amazing sale. I am happy and now that he has received it, he has confirmed he is happy.

Addendum. Car turned out to have one VIN instead of three including hidden ones and that VIN was not for the Shelby in question or any other for that matter

Had a guy come to my shop a few weeks ago. A lovely gent obviously of some means. I showed him the car and he honed in on on. It was not finished yet so couldn't be driven

He was very interested but "didn't want to wait"

He left and the next day contacted to say he bought a Shelby at over twice the price of my car

I said "did you see what the registry said about it?"

He said "the what?"

Some folks want shiny and they want it now

Of course they shot up. sold mine a. few months ago :-)

2170 66 Shelby was converted. T10 to T5

No cutting. Even without the slic shift shift arm relocate arm that modern driveline sells

Driveshaft needed shortening.

But. I always had a driveline vibration from day one. "Buyer of my car was notified of this)

It was determined by a chassis shop that the driveline angle needed adjusting. I ordered Ron Morris adj engine mounts but never fit them as the car sold (mounts sent with the car)

An excellent conversion. I have owned many cars with them. I had the "factory look T5 arm from modern driveline

They now sell a much more capable trans then the T5. Much higher load rating
