I think they hit a home run with last years "restore dad's Impala so he can remember good times with mom" commercial.  I think they tried again and, like most sequels, didn't quite get there.  I have a hard time seeing anyone still driving around in a Nomad that nice and she has to be at least 83 if they bought it new.  I can see the Blazer EV being the spiritual successor to the Nomad, sorta, but it all seems a bit heavy-handed compared to last year.  I didn't take away that ICE vehicles are unreliable in favor of EV's when I first saw it, more like EV is the future and ICE is the past, but I can't say for sure it's not there now that I've seen it a few times.

AMX III, maybe with a flipped negative to account for right hand drive?

The brown Mustang coupe definitely looks like a Camaro from that angle.  :)

I'd say late 1970-early 1971.  I think the green "convertible" is the Maverick "Estate Coupe" show car and the brown car in the display is a 71 Mustang coupe. (Along with a blue Boss 351 and a Silver Mach 1)

77 cents at a BP Station around 1978. Cheaper than the Exxon station I worked at.

As stated above, speed governors aren't anything new, particularly on tractor-trailers.  Years ago they were mechanical.  Since at least the mid-90s they've been electronic.  I believe most vehicles currently have the ability to be "governed", though they might not actually be equipped with the necessary software calibrations.  I think the difference with the proposed FMCSA rule is that now it would be mandated that commercial vehicles must be equipped with them.

Nuke GT-Great, thanks.  Couldn't make it to SAAC 44 and forgot that was 2019.  I was concerned it would be the Ramada.  DoubleTree makes more sense and sounds better.

I travel a fair amount, and since Covid, even the mid-level places (Marriott, Radisson, etc.) aren't what they used to be.  I never stayed at the Ramada in Beaver Falls, but the Ramada in State College was similar, 70s era with an indoor pool.  They remodeled it, but it still declined. I'm not sure if it has been open since Covid.

Looks like it's still open. 7 mins. from the track.  Most Ramadas I've seen are pretty bad nowadays.  Next closest hotels are in Monaca about a half hour South, assuming Super 8 and Microtel aren't in the mix.  All three closest to the track are owned by Wyndham, like the convention hotel in Indy......

Does anyone know what the convention hotel was for SAAC 34 when the track was Beaver Run??  The reviews for the Ramada/Wyndham closest to the track aren't very good.....

Drove from PA to OH, did the open track, and on to Dearborn.  First time on a (non oval) road course. Volunteered my brother in law to rebuild the fuel pump on a 67 GT500 from Indiana in the parking lot at Domino Farms.  They were able to buy two at the swap meet and put it together to make one, it got them home.  Later they came to PA and took us to dinner.  The good old days.  :)
