Can't see the forest through the trees(or in this case the Shelby through the people) in the photo... :P

We can still see the front and back corners...
:P

#1412 makes a lots of concours event appearances. Here it is in 2016 at Kneeland. Interesting comments in the photo caption.

.

Strange to see the wavey looking mud flaps on the front fenders and not on the rear.

Here's a few pictures
Will be there til Feb4th, stop on down.

That's a nice collection of Collectible Cars for a NEW CAR auto show.

Steve,
By any chance did you get the Shelby VIN for Emory's fresh restoration '67?
How about any back views?

Shelby American Racing / Re: Mid Ohio Yearbook 1964

Very nice find!!!

Cover photo is from the Sept 21-22 1963 race with Ken Miles in csx2129. This is the only color photo I've seen from this weekend event. There are more B&W photos inside this yearbook than I've ever seen for all  3 Cobras there. Thank you!

Two Thumbs up!!

1965 GT350/R-Model / Re: 1965 GT350... 36 more?

Yes and Yes...

Hard to believe they are making them out of K-code Mustangs. That could drive up those prices a bit.

Eric,
I'm not seeing a dimple in that original photo. Just a slightly angled reflection in a straight line on the front part of the tower. Even the slightly fuzzy photo in The Shelby Amercian back issue (not sure when that was published) doesn't seem to show any dimple in that spot. Both versions of that photo are really tough to make a call either way as that section is in the shadow.

Ford GT / Re: Ford vs John Cena - Ford GT

If the contract lacks the 24 month no sale clause this could have a snowball effect beyond Cena.

Nice find and thank you for sharing.

I'm trying to find some of the tracks it raced at. Too bad they didn't add that provenance to the listing.
It looks like some photos show Bill Clawson, Don Lacombe sp?, and Larry Beapre sp? as the drivers.

your suggestion is much appreciated and thank you for your time

Please keep posting them in this thread. Not even sure what the other thread is, but I check this one every day. I am sure the suggestion wasn't to stop posting period.

Love your finds. I am sure Richstang and everyone else does too.

Maybe a better suggestion is to delete the image link when quoting someone's post with a picture. Often, as in this thread, the same pic comes up multiple times. That adds more length to the thread than anyone's singular post.

The other thread is:     http://www.saacforum.com/index.php?topic=580.msg3922;topicseen#msg3922
Back in the Day........

2112,
Your suggestion could be helpful to save space, but then we would have to remember to post the reply # in case the photo is a few steps higher or on a previous page. Maybe it's better if I just retract my suggestion. I was not trying to stop Tony from posting, just the duplication of photos. I do appreciate his enthusiasm and willingness to share these neat old photos. Sorry to stir up anything here.

I ran into him at a local car show here in Northwestern NJ last fall.
He has a very unique personality.

Holy smokes!  That intake looks like the smoke stack on an oil freighter.
Is that what they look like on an oil freighter?!?
;D

I noticed the white van is from the very late '70's, helping put a timeframe on when the pic was taken.
Lots of chrome, check out the hood latch plate and export braces. Wonder what kind of custom rims it had on those extra wide front tires?

I believe I have some notes from Bob and perhaps others that detail the '67's battery a bit further;

The "Autolite" lettering was not painted red on the 1967 battery.
-GT350 no A/C received the 22F with yellow caps & yellow raised letter "caution" script
-GT500 no A/C received the 24F with yellow caps & yellow raised letter "caution" script
-GT350 w A/C (and / or Thermactor) received the 24F with red caps & yellow raised letter "caution" script
-GT500 w A/C (and / or Thermactor) received the 24F with red caps & yellow raised letter "caution" script

The above notes were only for the 1967 Shelby.

Edit; added (and / or Thermactor) with A/C equipped units

Hi Tony, while we all enjoy seeing these photos from the past, there's really no need to post them twice in two different threads. This random photo thread is already pages long and we know from the old forum it will get way up there. Not trying to rain on your added post count parade, just hoping to stop the duplication.

Nevermind what I said.
I don't want others to miss out incase you only posted some photos on that other thread.

Well, resurrected might night be a good word. Many cars were just never crushed. The story of crushing cars has been greatly exaggerated.

There is also a hand written note that this car was to be updated to 1968 specs, so it maybe hiding somewhere.

Wouldn't that be something to find! Little Red in full '68 disguise. After 50 years, my hopes are not very high.
