Speak to Dennis Olthoff, he's a Superformance dealer in N. Carolina. I believe they have a Monza red Mk2 for sale.

Here is the a video that describes the car with this years top time at Goodwood. If the technology behind it's fan system sounds familiar it should if you've followed Can-Am racing back in the seventies. Jim Hall developed a Can-Am car that used a vacuum system which was subsequently "outlawed" which was amazingly fast, but spewed debris at it's competitors.

Here is the ten fastest of 2022, the Ford van is included. The electric's are indeed fast, but their exhaust note (is that even a thing with electrics) is a soulless cacophony of high pitched whining.

SAAC-47 / SAAC 47 Vintage Race
« on: June 21, 2022, 06:39:43 AM »

I'd like to thank Curt Vogt and anyone else that had a hand in putting on the Vintage Race at Indy. It was a fun event, I only wish there had been a few more participants. The etched glass trophy made it even better.

**** Thanks again Curt for the clutch assistance too!

Entry to the speedway will be via Polco/16th Street, initial parking will be in the  Gravel Lot just within the grounds. Two lanes will designate either SVRA or SAAC entries. This info. comes via SVRA's entry details.

lalease, I cannot answer your first question concerning where to enter, I'm sure signs will be posted to direct traffic. Typically there are day passes available for purchase at SAAC events.

Charlie D might I suggest you seek out someone who has driven Indy while you are at SAAC 47. You can arrange to follow them for part of a session to learn the course and become comfortable driving. Enjoy your car and your time in Indy.

SAAC Forum Discussion Area / Re: Security System/GPS

I prefer to have items that make it more difficult to steal my car/trailer, than to merely have it trackable once the bad guys have gotten it.

(I know, you can do both, and should.)

I agree, the more layers of protection you can add the better. The GPS is just a small part of my trailer and truck theft deterrents.
