Based on purchase price, but then it goes down each year for depreciation.

If the tag on the car is SET 006, as pointed out by sd427,  rather than SET 095 in the trophy car image, I still don't see it   ???

Yes, I was merely pointing out the coincidence that two Shelby Mustangs ended up with CA license plates a few numbers apart.  In 1963, the last time everyone in CA had to get new plates, seeing another car with a sequence number close to yours typically meant they lived nearby and went to the same DMV office to renew their registration.  Once that was over, in the following years, I don't know how the plates were distributed.  Did car dealers have a batch of sequential plates, that they assigned to vehicles as they were sold?  I do know that my father's 1969 Ford van was issued ZLS 226, and there is a 1969 Shelby Mustang, with a single owner, with a ZLS plate.  Both vehicles were sold at the same dealer.  I don't know if the plates came from the dealer, or both my father and the owner of the Mustang went to the same DMV office.

Hmm, SET 006 is a well known 65 GT350.

It’s an informal event. What is Greg B’s screen name here? I’ll send him a PM.

I hear there is a yearly event for LASAAC on SBS. If the weather cooperates, what are the details on the event? Where to meet? What time?

If I was retired and had the time, I would pay them to be around for that type of filming.

Nice to meet Greg and Doug at the cars and coffee event.  The roads were good, no debris and Bouquet Canyon was open all the way.  Some snow on the side of Pine Canyon, but no icy spots on the road.  I came back via San Francisquito and stopped at Power Plant #1 and the dam failure site, walked down the old section of road to view the dam site.  About 180 miles round trip, my CSX4000 was humming along.

343 Richmond St in El Segundo, look at it in Google street view, the building hasn’t changed much.

Thanks to Doug C for the info, we can meet at the cars and coffee held at Bouquet Canyon and Valencia Blvd. Even if you don’t want to go on a long drive, stop by.
